I am 59, I am a proud East Texans, I grew up listening to Willie and family, I spent 6 years in Mexia TX, which is not far from where Willie was born and raised in Abbott TX. I always wanted to go to his 4th of July picnics, But due to epilepsy was never able to go, I used to lie in bed recovering from seizures with a Radio stuck by head, singing along with Willie and others, But you cain't sing to note with stitches in your dang tounge, ohh my God that is very very painful y'all, and. The medicine that was given was the nastiest tasting stuff ever, But I would tip My cup to Willie and family and other friends and hum along with them, and Best thing of all I got All the milkshakes and ice cream a kid could want! The very first song that I learned to sing of his was Blue eyes crying in the rain. Willie's music is very classic and uniquely Him. There's just no comparison to the way he writes his music. We are lucky to have a gifted songwriter like him.

I was shocked to hear that Willie believes in reincarnation. In loo of living again as the Christian brought back to life at the second coming of the Christ return. He wrote the song Family Bible in a first person context, so he has enough of God’s word in his soul, to write such a song.
