Not Asian or from an Asian household, but I always found wearing shoes indoors gross af and disrespectful to the homeowner because you’re tracking dirt and debri all over their home especially when it’s carpeted!! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!! i try to vacuum and wipe down any areas that get dusty at least once a week. it helps with the dust buildup. also air purifiers are great too! you can get small ones that take some of the dust out of the air :)

P.S. My biggest tip for transitioning from PC to MAC. Backup, backup, backup all of your hard drives before you reformat them to Mac. I may or may not have lost TONS of photos years ago when I plugged an external hard drive into a PC and thought that it was blank because the mac files didn't show up. But the switch is so worth it!! Welcome to team mac. :)
