Though I have not watched your videos lately, I have to compliment you and James on your parenting skills. The girls are so advanced in intelligence and personality.

Guys I could honestly not only come and have a chat with you guys but I literally could spend the day just watching listening & playing with Amber and Mabel bless her (looks full with a cold) is the happiest baby ever. I say this every video but you are both the most wonderful parents. Another thing I love is even though your working (vlogging) you don’t ever ignore Amber when she speaks to you, always stop to answer her. Looking so forward to the seeing the Reno finished. ❤️

I had the copper coil. 5 years later I’m getting another re-fitted. I will be honest, the pain was next level ( but you’ve given birth to 2 children) so I wouldn’t worry. They say it’s generally better when you’ve had children because your uterus alters. ( not sure how true this is but…) I’d say the pain of the fitting VS the pros of having it for 5 years without hormones out weighs it all. It’s overall been a positive experience for me and I haven’t had any issues really.

Positive coil experience here 🙋🏼♀️ i have had the kyleena coil for over a year now. Before, I used to have really painful periods and extreme mental health issues around them. Since having the coil I have not had a proper period and therefor none of the issues surrounding them. Originally I wanted the non hormonal copper coil as I suffer with daily migraines and hormones can make that worse. However, the doctor at the sexual health clinic said that the kyleena was very low doses and localised to the area and therefore should not make headaches worse and would in fact help with my other symptoms. Thus far very happy with the coil, only downside is the insertion. Extremely painful and nothing offered to offset that. Hope my experience helps you make the best decision for yourself! X

I just asked my three kids to not draw on anything but paper. Every time they were drawing on paper, I reiterated that we only draw on drawing paper and card. They never drew on anything else. They understood. It might be a developmental stage, but it can be mitigated by talking about what is appropriate before something else happens! Plus my kids were supervised, needed to ask for the drawing supplies which were in a cupboard, and only had crayons and washable pens so if it got on their clothes it just washed out.

The hormonal coil actually changed my life! I had SO many problems when I was on the pill but the coil was fabulous. The hormonal coil stopped my periods completely and when I came off of the coil I didn't have any major withdrawal bleed or anything.

I have the copper coil and LOVE it! At the same time, if the implant never bothered you, I’m sure a hormonal version will be just fine for you. While insertion isn’t the most fun activity, it’s over quite quickly and I’d do it again any day. Hope it works out for you too xx

I have the hormonal coil and love it! Hardly any periods at all and not noticed any side effects really. The first day after having it in was painful but so worth it. Make sure you have some pain killers stocked up for the first few days and you'll be fine :)

Hey girly - I have the hormonal IUD, but I opted for the Kyleena (less hormones) rather than the Mirena (normal hormones). That might be an option for you! I was put under a full general anaesthetic and had a great experience. Would totally recommend being asleep rather than being awake - I had no pain and only minor cramps. I've had the IUD for 2 yrs and only minor side effects (the rod gave me bad side effects!). Good luck with it 😊

I went for the copper coil in the end and it took 4-6m to settle but now I don’t really get periods - the only thing I do get is bloating because it’s progesterone based but apart from that I like it! Hope it got fitted ok for you … if you’re still in pain it does settle in a week or so! ❤

I got the hormone coil first and it made me servely depressed and emotional and i gained a lot of weight but now i am on the copper coil i am so much happier back to my old weight even lost more weight the only down fall is the longer heavier period it does hurt and get me down but i would rather 7 day periods than being depressed every single day - hope it works for you xx

I have the copper coil, and even though it does make your periods heavier, it is manageable and I’ve handled it very well. My periods are so regular even with the copper coil and I couldn’t recommend it enough! So much better than any pills or injections etc.

Everyone’s different BUT I had the coil in for about a year and a half and it was the worst thing ever! I was in pain in my lower tummy everyday, horrible pains and aches.. I got it out and never had them again. I wouldn’t recommend it. But test it for yourself ❤

Hi guys, I am enjoying this vlog. Carys, all the best with the coil. Personally I think you have made a good choice. This month I will have the hormonal Coil for the 3rd time. No issues at all. No heavy period or pain anymore. To reassure you, at one point I went and switched to non hormonal, regretted it and went back quicly😂. Yes the experience can be a bit uncomfortable, but I have my smear at the same time and just take some paracetamol before. You will be fine, Good luck.xx

I feel like you Carys and also you James should read Reviving Ophelia by Mary Pipher. You are both amazing and will be great mentor to your daughters and their self images. I feel like its a Carys passion. The world today is cruel and young girls can use people in their lives like you who can be mentors on loving your body image yourself. Mary wrote/taught on this subject and her daughter followed writing a newer version so getting either one is option.

I've had the Mirena Coil since 2010, horrific to put in/take out , 0/10 wouldn't recommend - but once it's settled, no periods, no pains etc! Don't have to worry about it. Scared to take it out incase my personality/moods would be chaotic 😂😂

I have to agree with you,I bought2 cases one for my husband and one for me, my husbands arrived with a crack in the bottom corner and despite several drawn out emails they finally asked us to email a picture which we did immediately, they emailed back 3 days later and said "it looks like that case has been dropped 🙄" and offered a 10% discount of our next purchase!!! Needless to say there will be NO next purchase.
