Imani Coppola is a musician living in Brooklyn, NY. Imani signed to Columbia records in 1997, and had her first hit single "Legend Of A Cowgirl."
In the 20 years that have followed, Imani has released 15+ albums both independently and on various record labels, still making her living on music exclusively. She works from her apartment recording studio. In between writing/recording and performing with her music projects , Imani also writes music for commercials and movies.
Imani was an absolute delight to hang out with, and we had such a fun time filming this. I hope you enjoy this one as much as me.

I wish people would listen to me when I scream at them to listen to Imani Coppola. I still think the Black and White Album is a masterpiece that more people need to hear, and if they just KNEW and understood how great she is, she might someday get the recognition that I believe she deserves. I'm really glad though, that in this video, she is happy being creative, doing what she loves. But dammit, I wish more people out there would listen to it, because they would love it too.
