After I filmed, I realized I used the word "asteroids" to talk about the movie Deep Impact. I should have used "comets" because in the story there are two comets heading towards Earth. Truthfully, a good number of people probably don't distinguish between asteroids and comets, but they are different. Sorry for not being accurate! Does anyone want to take on the challenge of explaining how asteroids and comets are different?
@hamzaboutekfa72955 жыл бұрын
I think that 'comets' are bigger and faster than 'asteroids' , maybe :/
@raed21785 жыл бұрын
It's okay, Jennifer as long as you stated what the right word is so everyone knows what you really meant. Here's the main difference between them: The main difference between asteroids and comets is their composition, as in, what they are made of. Asteroids are made up of metals and rocky material, while comets are made up of ice, dust and rocky material. Both asteroids and comets were formed early in the history of the solar system about 4.5 billion years ago.
@Englishwithjennifer5 жыл бұрын
I'm not a science expert. I understand that there are big and small comets and big and small asteroids. Their composition is different, but while it's less likely we'll be hit by a comet, maybe a comet would do more destruction. Not sure.
@Englishwithjennifer5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Ra'ed. I know their composition is different, but I couldn't tell you how without Googling that, so thank you for putting the info here. I think the differences in composition have something to do with where they were formed, right? If the dinosaurs went extinct because of a flying object hitting Earth from outer space, then it was likely a comet, right?
@raed21785 жыл бұрын
@@Englishwithjennifer I am not a scientist too. I even thought asteroids are more dangerous than comets since they contain metals in them. Hopefully, we won't experience either of them. Thanks, Jennifer.

The main character the alien Kaatu was interpreted by the actor Michael Reenie.

Hold your button and make a wish when you see it falling to the Earth. Comets are the objects of the outer Solar system. Halley's Comet, Rosetta Comet. Comet from the Greek star-like. @Englishwithjennifer5 жыл бұрын
Have you done a search? There are a number of ESL teachers who have posted videos on this topic. It can be a tricky lesson to produce. Ideally, the lesson should be filmed at a salon, so it's a matter of getting permission to record at a place of business.

You can ask for different services; I'd like a wash and cut. I'd like a wash, cut, and blow dry. I'd like to do a partial coloring. Can you just trim the ends? I'd like to take off about an inch. ...There are many possibilities. And it also depends if your a man or a woman and/or if you have long or shot hair. You can choose any U.S. city and search for a local hair salon and then read their services. The list is quite long.
Hi Jennifer i hope your are doing wonderful.Well i am gonna ask u a question not related to this video. That is can u please tell me how many clauses are there in the below sentences. ■ It is important that you take better care of yourself. And ● This is what i have always wanted. Thanks in advance
@Englishwithjennifer5 жыл бұрын
Hi. ■ It is important that you take better care of yourself. It is important = main clause that you take better care of yourself = noun clause with "that" (a dependent clause) ● This is what i have always wanted. This is (noun clause) = main clause >> subject + verb + complement what I have always wanted = embedded question as a noun clause (a dependent clause)
@tabishkhan98435 жыл бұрын
So it means there is two clauses in" It is important that you take better care of yourself" i.e it is + noun clause is main clause and noun clause( that you take better care of yourself) is second dependent clause embedded in main clause.

Electricity from nuclear reactors was to be given away free to the world ,or so the early protagonist of N-power "had us "believe. Madam is it correct to use "had us believe" in the above sentence?.
@Englishwithjennifer5 жыл бұрын
It may not be the clearest wording, but it makes sense. The rest of the idea is omitted because it's clear from context: The early protagonist of N-power had us believe this was to be the case. "Or so" helps us make that connection.

Why don't u put a period after the word "times"? 7:05
@Englishwithjennifer Жыл бұрын
Good point there. I didn't because it's a complex sentence. I simply omitted "that." I've seen the movie so many times (that) I've lost count. It's like saying, "I've been to that city so many times (that) I think I know every coffee shop they have!" Or, "The music was so loud (that) it hurt my ears." It's probably better to keep "that" in writing, but we often drop it in conversation.
