Exactly ...they could do long distance and they're not at 35yrs or something they're still young . Jin career requires sometime as he was struggling hard because of their financial crisis ,so that he can relax in future ... love is all about patience ,and giving time ,feelings, prioroties ,sacrifices when needed ...love cannot survive alone a successful career is needed for living ..she wasnt able to grasp bigger picture and understand his position and his struggles . If she had she wouldnt have brokenup with him ... they could have taken a break and could meet after some years ,to see if they still love each other . She should have atleast had heart to heart communication and tried to make changes how they can still be in relationship and if still it didn't work then the breakup would have been a better way .

@Miguel Wanderer I think you're missing the point of the whole drama. The drama just depicts the value of youth. That good people come and go in your life. The drama's point wasn't to see how Yijin is better than Heedo's husband. The drama just showed how valuable their relationship was to them, their relationship in their youth, that was it. And how in the present day, Heedo reflects and remembers it dearly. And that has nothing to do with how and with who they live their lives now. It's just about meaningful moments from the past. It's basically focuses on the carefree past days they all spent together, completely unrelative to their present lives.

They are valuable memories of their first love and that’s all there is to it-fondness of the past. and the main leads are happy in their own respective lives. They found happiness in their career and other aspects of their lives after their relationship. Love was never everything from the beginning and it never should be. That’s what we should take away from this.

As much as I want to see HD and YJ together, I still think that it was a beautiful and realistic ending. It just portrayed the fact that nothing lasts forever and that we should enjoy every moment to the fullest because we don’t know what to expect in the future.
