Glad you got the chance to do the Q7. In your experience was this one of the best high beams in a car? I've activated the matrix function on mine which totally changed the game for night driving but im curious on how just the brightness and beam pattern stacks up to other cars.

The high beams are really good but not the best. Some of the best headlights I have had experience with are in the BMW I5 M60, Acura Integra, and Nissan Z. The Q7 is similar to Some Lexus vehicles with the triple beam system regarding high beams. Q7 Low beams are in the "adequate" category for me so the Lexus system bests them.

@ wow, I’m very surprised the integra and a sports car beat it. Was it the brightness that was lacking? I’m very curious on what you think of the cayennes HD Matrix lights when you get the chance to drive it. They are suppose to be twice as bright as these.

Excellent review. I wish auto makers would fade the headlights when changing brightness. The sudden change is starting to flash a lot with the super bright automatic high beams. It looked like fading on the Audi's turning lamps which was the first I'd seen.

Audi makes some of the best looking cars and SUV’s on the market, but just like the Land Rovers the reliability is terrible and based on that I wouldn’t never own either. If the reliability gets better I would certainly buy one.
