A Geriatric (elderly person) is termed so from 65 years of age in terms of medical treatment. In some countries now job retirement age has moved to 66 years (pensionable age) e.g. in UK currently. One can work in paid job until whatever age they feel able in agreement with their employer. Some still working at 75 years old. 55-60 years old is still young for retirement. There is a big difference between osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in terms of diagnosis and treatment. Arthritis includes Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The Dr explained clearly about osteoporosis, its causes and prevention. 'You are what you eat'. My mother and myself are fans of the programme. It's both educational and informative. Knowledge is power.
