I am in awe. I knew that the Blessed Virgin Mother is the mother of all mothers but I had never learned this aspect of her. I better understand now why she is considered the masterpiece of God’s creation. To be in her presence in Heaven for all eternity….

This was an excellent sermon minus the mention of Francis. The main point of the sermon is how Our Lord comes to us through Our Lady in every way. The Bible verse he quoted which is a little perplexing and is answered beautifully by the priest. When we eat the food of life in the Holy Eucharist, we also feed on the abundance of grace given from the body of Our Lady. You cannot get to to Our Lord without going through Our Lady.

This is a brave video at a time in the world when motherhood and breastfeeding is frowned upon by the medical world and spilled into society. I am so very grateful to you Father for being so very specific about the truth of the NATURAL LAW of GOD. Today there are so many moms in the hospital that are being discouraged from breastfeeding especially premature babies. They do not encourage the moms to get up in the middle of the night nor do they bring the babies to the moms if the baby is in NICU. They tell the mom that pumping with a machine is just as good, yet it is NOT! My granddaughter was not latching due to her prematurity but the lactation consultant who was NOT a mother gave up within 10 minutes of trying to help my daughter andTold her to continue pumping! My daughter became discouraged and just pumped. I tried to explain to her and to the lactation consultant that if she just pumps the body will NOT PRODUCE the full content milk, she will not LET DOWN, she will not get the fat and carbs and true milk because the body cannot be fooled! If she just pumps without ever having the baby at the breast nor having LET DOWN her watery milk will dry up and the baby will not get the nourishment. Well today, HUNDREDS of babies are being sent back to the hospitals because they are not gaining weight and labeled FAILURE TO THRIVE because doctors, nurses AND lactation consultants no longer understand what BREAST FEEDING TRULY IS! Nourishing and BONDING of mother and child. THIS BREAKS MY HEART! When I had my daughter 24 years ago, she was not latching and I was determined to breast feed. Even then the nurse and lactation consultant discouraged me but I called La Leche League and this group of moms taught me for 4 years the importance of nurture and feeding . A MACHINE CAN and WILL NEVER REPLACE the bonding and let down and true milk a mother gives her children. On a side note: Breast feeding should never hurt, if there is cracking or pain, the baby is not properly latching so gently remove the child by releasing their bottom lip and make sure the entire mouth covers the entire areola. Mastitis happens if you skip feedings or have an infection, the best way to cure this is to breast feed the baby MORE OFTEN and take hot showers. Do NOT BE AFRAID to nurse your child, this bonding is one of the most beautiful and natural gifts God gave mothers.

There's a lot of ignorance on Facebook on the apologetic sites, that breasts are for adult men. Yes the Bible says for husbands to always be satisfied with their wife's breasts. But because of Playboy magazine & pornography, many Boomer-aged traditionalists think breasts are "dirty." A younger woman was also incensed about the discussion of Mary breastfeeding Jesus, because she had had breast implants. She blocked me, because she was so insulted by the information I gave. 😢 I'm so sorry for your story. Pumping is okay in emergencies, but the best thing is human contact. ☹️😭 Stay-at-home mothers, even though they may live in holy poverty, will have better children who grow up to be good citizens and good Catholics. Homeschool is best school! ❤ God bless you very much.

Prayer to Our Lady of the Milk written by me: Our Lady of the Milk, please draw your eyes from your Infant Son for a moment to look upon your poor child. Virgin Mother who was able to draw milk from your heart, allow me to suckle that most pure and chaste elixir from your virgin breast, sweeter & more life-giving than honey. You notice how different I am from your firstborn Child: I am sick, malnourished, and filthy because of my sins. Do not leave me without your milk which is medicine. From your milk I receive nourishment, I am cleansed, and I become pure. But please, mix your honeyed milk and your bitter tears with the sweet Body of your body, the precious Blood of your blood, and the Soul and Divinity in the Angelical Bread made from Son and Mother. Then let me kiss your feet with thanksgiving for letting me be at least a little bit more pleasing to your Son, Who sees your immaculate milk in my veins and heart. Our Lady of the Milk, please pray for us. Amen.

@@freshbrewedasmr3378 First, while I find and believe the connection between Our Lady’s milk and Our Lord’s heavenly bread is beautiful, the notion that she would have the ability/authority/power to mix the holy elements seems off; Christ is the priest. Second: compared to St. Bernard of Clairvaux, who purportedly received the holy milk from a distance, the wording of the prayer seems to depict it as being received directedly, which would seem improprietous. ( I know it’s a spiritual reality and assumes the disposition of a child, so not literal; but I believe concerns of chastity for those within and without the Church warrant more reserved language. Aside from living in a culture whose minds are in the gutter, there’s also a trend among abusive clerics to twist spiritual meditations into carnal mandates. Maybe it’s not inherently bad and my concern is excessive, but we don’t live in healthy times and I believe that’s something to consider.) I admire your humility in being open to hear out my hang ups. May the Mother of God in her maternal goodness bless both of us.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I don't think there should be pictures of the Blessed Mother breastfeeding where the actual nipple is exposed. This to me seems wrong. Maybe I'm wrong idk.

I can understand how you feel. Our society programs our minds to equate breasts with only sensuality. Trying to be careful with my language here. Breastfeeding mothers are embarrassed to feed their babies in public in our western world. Mothers can be discreet by using a blanket yet it's still frowned upon. In this realm we live in, things appear a certain way because that is the perspective we are so familiar with. The supernatural world, of the divine is beyond our current understanding. That is why it's so remarkable to learn from the saints and mystics and catch a tiny glimpse of the true nature of everything.

Nursing is sacred. Our Lady's motherhood is sacred. Nipples are for babies. Perversity is too rampant I suppose. These are sacred images, created for monasteries, churches, etc. My favorite is our lady squeezing milk into the mouth of St. Thomas Aquinas. Modern man is so dull and dense to think a woman's body is for private pleasure, there is so much more. The nipple has never been hidden in relation to nursing, that is perverse to suggest. If Our Lady was a virgin which she was, and she did not have sex, which she did not and she was conceived w/o original sin which she was....she had no periods nor did she lactate. This video is blasphemy against Our Lady.

Breast milk production is not from sexual intercourse but from having a child. If Our Lady did not breastfeed why did Our Lord not correct the person who said, "Blessed are the breasts at which you sucked?" Even if breast milk production had anything to do with sexual intercourse, why couldn't Our Lady miraculously have breast milk if She could be a Virgin before, during, and after the Birth of Christ by a special grace?

Catholic dogma only holds that Our Lady had no original sin in the proper sense (the deprivation of original justice) and the Church teaches that she had no personal sins and no concupiscence. This doesn't exempt her from partaking in the elements of fallen Adam that have no effect upon her morality or character. Lactation is the natural response to pregnancy and birthing, and it's in our tradition through many, many saints and depictions in sacred art that Christ did nurse from Our Lady.
