Yah 6 years later I still have this remix. Lot has changed since then. I remember when i joined in 2012 right when season 2 was just ending. I was very skeptical of mlp g4 due to hasbro's past record of horrible franchise series with four legs. It came as a recommendation in my youtube channel something about rainbow dash. At first I saw the thumb nail and was like. Huh, that seen looks unconventional for Hasbro. Everything didnt seem so cringey sterotypical girly fairy crap as it's predecessors. It was the scene where the gala started going south. It convinced me enough to research and to watch the first episode. I wasn't really diggin the intro though at the time but I realized man these characters actually has some depth to them and the animation is very well done for a franchise built to rank in revenue for a toy maker. I was like huh I'll watch the next episode. And they eventually captured my heart. I was amazed of the quality work that was put into the show and learn about Lauren Faust. And I Followed every episode from season 1 and even some fanfic (my little dashie, rainbowfactory etc.) Went to several local brony cons in Austin, Tx I really got a lot out of this. In fact this was the series that really pushed me into animation especially with the fan made full episode of double rainboom. I began creating my own characters and began writing more stories again. Then the whole Hasbro laying down the C&D on certain communities like the mane6 who had developed such a high quality fighting game with ponies brought me back to reality that this their work and can shut down anyone they please. As angry as I was with Hasbro I had to respect their decisions as they own the rights to those characters. And then thats when began shifting into creating my own series with my own characters and plot. I sought legal advise from one of my father's clients who gave me a lot of good advise from a legal stand point. So I began eliminating any traces of g3 other than a few inspirations. I am still going to reference to them as Hasbro references to starwars, etc. I will do the same. And though I'm not in it like I used to I've got all the music I collected over the years in my folder and listen to them when I'm working on the storyboard for the series. So yes a long story short this is very nostalgic and still love listening to the music and this is still the good stuff. And this was the series that got me into the dub step, glitch hop, euro(pony) beat, skrillex, dead mouse, zedd and lots of remixes and crossovers etc. This is still 10/10!

That is what I keep saying to myself, that G4 might never end, as it seems to have hit the pinnacle in terms of storytelling, character development and overall animation quality. As long as there are excellent people who can always create a well written story, and as long as there are people working on it that realize what makes G4 so popular, then G4 might last a good while. I fear that when the end comes at some point, any attempt to create G5 will just set everything back. I hope I'm wrong.

@@darreldarrenman3334 cartoons as a whole have backslid, it's mainly because the new generation are fanboys/fangirls rather than original creators, that's why all the new stuff have a fanfic vibe to them or not original, they are too hung up on older stuff they liked and are okay with simply imitating it. another issue is those people also tend to be sjws, so stuff like the old powerpuff girls or jhonny bravo would be impossible to get nowdays

Damn. The memories. Back before all the drama. Before we had all the fan service we have now. Things were simple. It was a show about ponies and you just enjoyed. There were conventions every now and again, but the show was the most important part. Now it's like the fandom forgot that an innocent little show like this was the core and now we have people making sex toys out of it, fucking people flaunting it around where it doesn't belong, and people that are just WAY to into it. I'm glad I got to enjoy the best part of the fandom (2012) and can remember it fondly. I feel bad for all the new guys coming in. They hardy get any good music anymore since all the old and good musicians left. The cons are like a business now.. It's nut house now. The one thing about it that stood out to me was the music. In every non-music related fandom I've ever seen, there's never been a dedicated musicians part of the fandom. The music used to be so good. We had people like Alex S. Omni, Eurobeat, PinkiePieSwear, Tombstone, Glaze, and all these musicians that all had one thing in common. Their music stood out. Now, the fandom's musicians are full of bandwaggon riders that just want some fame or to play at a con. They just want to use the fandom to get their name out, and the problem is that they don't truly care about music. They're the same types of people who will listen to a pony artist, then once that pony artist puts out something non pony, they don't care for it. The new fandom artist are just catering to people that will like anything as long as it has a pony on it. They don't care for music. And non of them stand out. They literally ALL SOUND THE SAME. Listen to Blaze, Varia, Nexaka, Skorp, Thomas H. They're all great musicians but they all copy the sound that Omnipony gave us. I wish the fandom didn't go downhill so fast, but at least we can still cherish its remains.

Every Fandom has sexual stuff there pony that just enjoy those things at a different level respect their desires just because its more public doesn't mean that they should be discriminated on. Cons are always business to promote something, that's the whole point of conventions. Also new pony music still exist, you rely on EDQ for your news or something? expand your information.
