At the Throttle: Diesel is back for 2021, with something new! For the first time ever, the N.C. Transportation Museum is giving you the opportunity to be “at the throttle” of Southern Railway FP7 No. 6133, one of the museum’s most popular diesel locomotives.
Put yourself in the engineer’s seat of a Southern Railway FP-7 No. 6133! The 6133 was built in 1950 for both freight and passenger train service, and is one of the museum’s most popular locomotives. After a quick safety briefing and instruction on how to operate the locomotive, climb aboard for your turn to ride down the rails!
