At Tropitel (Sahl Hasheesh) - Egypt: Snorkeling, Mermaid Bar and Restaurants

The Tropitel Resort is located a good 25 km south of Hurghada Airport in Sahl Hasheesh directly on the Red Sea. We were there for 3 weeks from mid-December 2022 as all-inclusive guests. Since I already made a longer video about the beautiful complex a year ago, this one focuses on a few additions. It mainly shows some performances from the Mermaid Bar. At the beginning I will show again clearly where you can snorkel on the long jetty. I will also introduce the main restaurants in more detail. You can find the starting points in the chapters below. There are subtitles for the video in several languages.

Es freut mich, dass dir das Video so gut gefallen und meine Stimme dich an früher erinnert hat. Grundsätzlich mag ich auch entspannte Musik lieber als Hintergrund für meinen Kommentar und die Zwischenbereiche. Bei den Tänzen aus der Bar habe ich mich aber für die Originalmusik entschieden. Wie erwartet hat KZbin wegen Urheberrechtsverletzung gemeckert. Für meinen Kanal ist das aber nicht weiter schlimm. Es bedeutet nur, dass Werbeeinnahmen an die beiden Urheberrechtsinhaber gehen, obwohl die Szenen jeweils kaum länger als 20 Sekunden sind. Ich gratuliere dir übrigens zum Überschreiten der 7000er Marke bei den Abos. Deine Musik kommt recht gut an. 👍

Vielen Dank Tadeusz für das Reinschauen hier und den Kommentar! Ja, du hast sogar noch untertrieben. Bei gut 500 Räumen passen ca. 1000 Gäste dort rein. Als wir Mitte Dezember 2022 dort ankamen, war die Hotelanlage aber nur zu einem Drittel belegt. Das verdoppelte sich dann zu den Weihnachtstagen. Darum wurde ja auch der 2. Saal des Hauptrestaurants eröffnet, wie ich es im Video gezeigt habe. Dort haben wir immer sofort einen ordentlichen Platz gefunden. Daher empfand ich es nicht als zu voll. VG

The secret of the Toropitel hotel is the inaccessibility of the Red Sea! There is a tiny coral lagoon where all the hotel guests sit in the water. Naturally, you will not see any of the beauty of the corals and underwater world of the Red Sea. There is also a closed access to the outer reef, where a limited number of swimmers are allowed from the entire hotel 3 times a day. The reason for closing the exit to the outer reef is the tragedy that occurred here with the death of a tourist from the hotel from a shark. Entering the water from the shore is also impossible. The reason is corals. Summary: hotel on the Red Sea - without access to the Red Sea. A luxury vacation for tourists who don’t understand what they paid for!

Thank you for the long comment! There are the restrictions you mentioned, but I draw a different conclusion. We went to the Tropitel in Sahl Hasheesh because the reefs near the beach in Hurghada are largely covered with sand and therefore dead. I saw this myself on a boat trip. There you have to go out by boat to snorkel. The Austrian woman came from the Gravity, by the way. A few days later, another Romanian woman was killed by a shark nearby. You've probably heard that a young Russian was the victim in Hurghada in 2023. So caution is advised. We really enjoyed our time at Tropitel.

Nein, sie wohnte nebenan im Gravity. Der Steg wird von beiden Hotelanlagen genutzt.
