Cascadian Marines: the ships, they're leaving! CM: The war goes on! Arrgh! "From the dust I came, unto dust I shall return" "Return....me...home" "My children will avenge me" Combine the lines of the invasion force and this music piece, you can feel the despair of Cascadian marines being left behind, then having no chances of escape fighting to the bitter end as the ships had to retreat. You can also feel Woodward's lament over the losses and forced abandonment of his compatriots, knowing that as much as he was willing to save as many of them, he could not also risk more of his own sailors, along with the Eminent Domain, as losing it will also cost more of their fellow soldiers lives. I can only wonder about the pain of being in the boots of an officer who had to make hard choices like him.

I don't even know how we got here, the man was a normal composer and one day made the PW soundtrack, ascended to "Bandai Namco" composer godhood and now serves Banger after Banger to the world. This sounds simultaneously noble and tragic, as if something bad happening, which didn't have to happen at all. Listening to this, I imagine the sequel for PW, where you play BOTH as Monarch and as Driver, switching POVs from mission to mission, and slowly realising that the war itself is bullshit and both sides are the same - there are good people, there are shitty people, there are heroes and villains, noble feats and warcrimes, on each side of a conflict. And your heroes from both sides could really become friends, if only they had an option to meet and know each other somewhere NOT on a battlefield. And then - final mission, where it is all or nothing for both Cascadia and the Federation. The world burns around you, grand aerial fleets clashing in the last battle to rule the ashes. Both aces are on the field, both giving their all. And you jump perspective several times, between your beloved heroes and friends, untill the game message shows, prompting you to make final POV choice: _THERE IS NO MORE GOOD OR BAD_ _THERE ARE NO HEROES OR VILLAINS_ _CHOOSE YOUR ALLEGIANCE_ *_THERE WILL BE NO HAPPY ENDING_*

I'm being reminded of Kings, Top Gun, Bloodborne, unironically Pirates of the Caribbean, a bit of Final Fantasy, a little Ace Combat to be a little cheeky, and just so many more songs that I've listened to over the decades. I can tell you and your work has been influenced by many. This easily ranks up there with Magma Carta, Kings, and the rest of Project Wingman's ost.

I have an idea for a potential Project Wingman sequel. It would revolve around some other conflict a bit after the second calamity, and some other mercenary team of 4. The federation would be decaying, and trying desperately to keep their hold on the nations they control, and the peacekeeper teams would play a major role in their defense. Despite the federation being on the back foot, the peacekeepers are still a major threat, and just like the first game, the first time you encounter them, you have to cut and run. But, unlike the first game and every other enemy, you don’t hear the peacekeepers say anything. And again, just like the first game you barely manage to drive them off, and again, they say nothing. Instead of there being another burning of Prospero, you get a different twist. You hear the PK leader talk for the first time. It’s Crimson-1. Icarus Armories managed to replicate Crimson-1 as an AI, and sold it to the federation. How the plot would go from here, I don’t know, but I think that this would make a great sequel.

I'd love to see it being something along the lines of AC Zero So you massacre a peacekeepers team after every 5 or 6 missions and based on how you play, you kill 5 of them each playthrough... (Yes, monarch(and by extension Hitman team) goes full murder boner on the feds.. With each peacekeeper loss, the feds are being pushed back.. the crimson 1 AI... shudders and rages.. realising who it is.. an old nemesis, returned with even more rage and fury, this time burning the federation itself... A prospero equivalent or worse version is instigated by gunsel and Assassin, with Hitman completely flatlining everything, leading to Ulaanbataar being burnt inside out and a third (and possibly world ending) cordium calamity Your final boss... Crimson squadron as AI in a new PW MK1 based enhanced superfighter (which will be phase 2 of the fight where they roll up with flying aircraft carrier fleet, which will be phase 1 of the finale) Epilogue : with the crimson AI destroyed once and for all, the world has now completely turned it's back on the federation... Each region/country now engaging its own war against the feds. With all their peacekeepers dead (mostly killed by Hitman), the feds have much reduced control and with Monarch torching most of the crystal kingdom coupled with the distrust gained from the presidia and prospero bombings, they have fully lost control and it's open season on the feds. Mercenaries are on the rise, a new cabal is rising...with monarch as their talisman
