As a PM of India, no he is not weak, I believe. Let me put my reasons: 1. In 2008 when India was to sign the nuclear deal with US (123) even within party confidence was low but he stood his stance (I called it vision) 2. So much onslaught done on him for not delivering populist measures (within party) but he didn't move a inch (example- demand of excess package to sugarcane industry) 3. He was criticize for his joint statement in Egypt he is ready to resign rather than taking his words back. 4. He face the toughest questions by senior journalist directly and he answered everyone with best of his knowledge, remember he was not asked about how many hours he sleep, how mangoes are eaten and did he carry any purse.

Sir ji, Manmohan Singh cannot be credited with fast GDP growth in 2004-08 period. He just happened to be at the right place at right time. Big infrastructure push and economic reforms undertaken by Vajpayee government as well as Vajpayee government's success in keeping inflation and fiscal deficit in control bore fruits after Vajpayee left office.

Good one. Thanks for that. I don't see Manmohan Singh as week PM. He did his job.i feel future coalition thoughts to bring back UPA together spoiled Congress future. Corruption has become a major setback n they tried to keep that a side to make UPA back together. Another major factor is an agressive push to bring politically immatured Rahul Gandhi up as PM. If Manmohan S was the face of INC for 3rd term. That could have given some chances. Social media n expanded journalism made huge impact to expose n magnify issues.
