Cassette emulation is now working in current firmware, as well as a fix for the hanging bug on some BBS's Fujinet just keeps getting better!

Thanks, that was really informative. This was by far the clearest overview I have seen on what Fujinet can do. I bought one as a spur of the moment purchase without knowing everything it could do when buying some other hardware because I figured it would probably be useful and wanted to avoid paying postage twice. Now I’m really enthusiastic about getting it up and running.

I'm glad to see some Atari channels. It felt like there was more C64 content. The 800 was my first comp., and I kept many of the floppy disks. Later, I got the 130 XE, when I damaged my keyboard during a final exam. My only regret was not having any assembly language software or books when I got the machine. Good luck with the channel!

I am getting PM's concerning the card on the monitor stand. It is a gift card that expired 4/20, had about $.78 left on it. I tried to blur it using KZbins editor, but we see how well that worked.

Thanks for the overview of Fujinet! I just took my Arari 800 out of the box it’s been sitting in for the last 30 years and after I recap the power supply and get my monitor cable I’ll hook it up. Unfortunately, I just ordered an SDrive-MAX but Fujinet has much more functionality!

I’ve noticed that Fujinet is not happy with an SDrive Max plugged in and powered off. If you want to keep it plugged into the SIO bus it must be powered on and virtual drives set to empty.

What i'd like to know does the fujinet work with high speed loading like the atarimax ApeWarp OS or any other high speeds like spartados? Is there a setting like in SIO2PC where you can change the loading speed? The loading speeds im referring to is when loading from the pc to the atari

Thanks for this very helpful video! I have new Fujinet and am trying to update my firmware. My laptop is running windows 10, have connected a USB from laptop to Fujinet, the unit powers on, but my laptop does not recognize the device. I have downloaded the flash from fujinet online. When I run the flash, nothing shows up as an option in the serial device dropdown. Any ideas?

So...do you need to have a PC (or Mac) running all the time if you just want to directly load something from the internet ?

How do you use the SD card? Can you use it to move image files from the atari or to a Atari emulator on a PC?
@back2skooldaze3 жыл бұрын
Hi Doug please can you answer this for me. Ive got my fujinet 1.5 and its awesome!! Works fantastic best piece of atari 8bit kit EVER!!! Ive just found that leaving the 1050 switched on with no disc in the fujinet won't boot so the 1050 has to be switched off! Now Ive got my 850 interface sio2pc and sd drive max hooked up to my hub all inline of course i don't now need to use the 850 but im not able to use the sio2pc or the sd drive max with the fujinet? I load an image in sio2pc and ive even turned the fujinet off and i still can't load anything? So i then disconnect the fujinet and all is working? I then tried the sd drive max and i get the same issue? The only drive on the sio chain that works is the 1050 drive? Can you please tell me how to get the sio2pc or the sd drive max to load an image with the fujinet? Thank you

Has anyone here been successful accessing their 1050 drives from the Fujinet? If so, how did you set it up and do the directory of it, etc..?

If I buy the Fujinet 1.5, do I need the 16GB MicroSD to go online (BBS)?

I load up all eight drives with different images, and they are compatible, either ATR or XEX. I then select the drive slot number and hit option to boot, holding down option to bypass basic. However, no matter which drive slot I select and tell it to load from, it always loads from the first slot. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for any help.
@netcoord993 жыл бұрын
I don't think they meant it to work this way but I just found out the same thing was happening to mine only booting slot 1.

At 12:50, you reset the FujiNet and then power cycle the computer. Could you simply preset the Reset button on keyboard? (I'm not only new to FujiNet - but to Atari 8bit's in general)
@fierodoug583 жыл бұрын
Yeah, hit reset would work, I just got in the habit of using the switch for no good reason
@back2skooldaze3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, The reset button releases the image in D1: on the fujinet i then have to hard reset the atari to load the fujinet again?
@RicardoBanffy3 жыл бұрын
Does have to behave as a single floppy drive? You started DOS in a drive, then switched the image for the drive. Could it behave as multiple drives?
@fierodoug583 жыл бұрын
It can act as 8 drives. D1-D8
