I've had my eye on this one. Given the simplicity of 2nd Gen games, creating a Warioware-style microgame collection out of them was a pretty inspired idea. Glad it turned out fairly well.

It was a really neat idea by Atari and a fun way to pay tribute!

This looks pretty fun for those who might be nostalgic for the atari days. It seems like a really good homage, with some solid gameplay too. I might have to consider picking this one up in the future sometime. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review, looks like a fun nostalgia trip. I always bore of the straight Atari ports quickly (I grew up on them, but we've come a LONG way) but this looks like it fleshes them out just enough to hold my attention.

@@IDreamofIndie I have been looking at the Recharged series as well. However, I don't know if I would like to get Yar's Recharged or Atari Mania. What would you recommend?

Looks really good! I agree about the "Museum" being very dull and unexciting. It needs some colors to make it pop. However, this is a definite purchase from me.

I watched this video, but I never left a comment because I didn't have anything to really say. I've learned that leaving comments helps content creators, and since I want channels I like to keep making videos I enjoy, I came back here and left this. Thanks for making and sharing this video.

I bought this and am sad. The concept is great, and the adventure mode and characters are so charming--good writing, great music. Unfortuantely, the way the games are implemented, you never get a chance to even learn anything. Control changes between games, even when the games are essentially the same (the green paddle, for instance--sometimes too slow to move, sometimes too fast to do anything; Torr is similar in his controls). This game is like an asshole friend who gives you two seconds to respond, then punches you in the face when you don't, moves on to something else, repeat repeat, and by the time it rolls back around, you've forgotten and still can't get it right. I wish I'd purchased this on Steam so I could get a refund and put my $20 toward Atari 50. Nice review here, but I guess I'm too angry of a person for this game. Great concept with extremely poor implementation. I should have read the Steam reviews.

As the writer for Atari Mania, it's so nice to hear a compliment on the game (especially the story bit). Thank you so much for trying it, and I'm really sorry you didn't enjoy the controls as much. Much love

@@RUGrimm-fv5if Aw man!! I need to be more careful with my words. I really did love the writing, though! lol I thought how it all tied together was really clever and fun and punched way above its weight for this type of game. And the amount of personality/thought/emotion/neuroses present in each character really made me enjoy them. Plus, it was fun having a main character that really just wanted to get their stuff done and move on in life. Relatable :P Thanks for taking the time to comment back!! That was neat! I hope you keep writing games; I want to play them!

@@IDreamofIndie I think the reason "nostalgia" happens is because people have the desire to go back to simpler times and I do not have such desire.
