I used to vacation in Old Orchard Beach in Maine in the late ‘70’s thru the mid ‘80’s, they had an arcade just off the beach and they had this game in there. I put a LOT of quarters into that thing and finally jumped all the buses. Good times!

I loved this game as a kid, and when it became available as a home console, I begged my parents to get it for Christmas. Unfortunately, when I opened it Christmas morning, it wouldn't work, and JCPenney no longer had them after Christmas; thus, my dreams were shattered. I'd love to get that home version for nostalgia sake, but when they do come up for sale, they can be pricey! If space wasn't an issue, I'd definitely go for the arcade can if I could find one.

So many 1970s arcade games made it into cartridges for the Atari VCS/2600. I'm surprised something like this didn't make it, nor did Artillery Duel. The latter became Human Cannonball.

Many of the early games (possibly including this one) didn't have ROMs, because the programs were so simple. So, the program data couldn't be 'dumped' and emulated in the same way as later games. I haven't kept current, but there may be a simulator for it by now

Wow, I loved playing this game back in the day but had totally forgotten about it until I just saw one at Evel Pie in downtown Las Vegas, I wanted to play while waiting on my slice but didn't have any quarters, went back the next night and played it, such a simple game but its fun. May I ask what you had to pay for it? I would love to have one myself.

Loved playing this as a kid. I was in Vegas last week and I went to the Pinball Hall of Fame (which is a bit out of the way) hoping to find this game. They had everything except Stunt Cycle. LOL, the next day I went to Evel Pie (two blocks from my hotel) for a bite to eat and there it was.

The operation manual does state that but I have yet to see it on any Stunt Cycle I’ve come across or any pictures I’ve seen. I’m guessing atari made the change to game over before or very early in production

cabinet quality is incredible. screen looks a bit bluish. is it totally black irl?
@blinddog44
@blinddog44 10 жыл бұрын
It does look blue in the video but it actually mostly gray if you could see it in real life. The monitor is a black and white monitor so it can only go grayscale and the game board itself only uses 3 intensities "colors". That would be 0%=black, 50%=Gray and 100%=white.

@blinddog44
@blinddog44 2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I have sold my stunt cycle since I made this video so I’m not able to check it. I’m pretty sure the Rev 1 boards had jumper wires on the board from the Atari factory and Rev 2 took care of it. Rev 2 also added a pot to help adjust the speed of the throttle.

what is that game worth? is it like $600 ? it looks in great condition. I too like the B&W games, like sprint 2 and rip off. I just bought the Atari football 1978
@blinddog44
@blinddog44 10 жыл бұрын
kevlarunderwear22 I find the 70's Black and Whites a littles hard to value. ultimately it's based on what people want to pay and the market for these games is a lot smaller then the golden era games of the early 80's. So you can get them for cheap if you find some one feels that these games are not very desirable. On the flip side there are b/w collectors that really want them and know they don't come up very often and are will to spend more money to get it so it makes for a wide range. I'd say the average price $250 - $450 would be fair in my area. Then + or - how much you want it.
@kevlarunderwear22
@kevlarunderwear22 10 жыл бұрын
thank you. I paid $700 for an Atari football in good condition. it was worth it to me because I really wanted it and they don't come up that often in my area. it would be nice to have a sprint 2 and a stunt cycle also. the other thing is that it costs something to restore these games. surely $100 or &200 for someone to put time into it and buy parts to get the game into good working condition. thanks again
