For guitar buyers, Joe puts on a master class of how to seal a deal. Notice how he never acts overly excited, never tips his hand. He knows what it is the second the case opens, and he let's his oppenent do the wrong thing, let's the seller talk the guitar down. If you go out craigslisting, or in negotiations for anything in a private sale, always act professional, slightly dissinterested, or your seller will pick up on your enthusiasm and start putting the screws to you.
@ATBGuitars2 жыл бұрын
In fact Joe didn't even negotiate at all and as soon as he saw the guitar he couldn't let go of it, it was a bit like love at first sight and we had to do no selling at all. However, as a responsible dealer, it is our duty to point out any issues even if they are obvious...

I have come to really like these early 60's Les Paul's. From what i could find on them they are essentially a "59" in every way except they were made in '60 instead of '59. Obviously the latter 60's have the slimmer neck shape but the early ones still have the fuller neck profile. and the later ones have the non fading paint. The 58's are sweet as well. Those three Years were the best for the Les Paul IMHO.

People bitch about how he hoards all the good stuff but he is curating an immense piece of history and doing it right! there's a bit where he said "don't clean it" and he's said he will do as little as is needed to get it working and running right. To many people would polish the history out of a guitar like this. It is what it is, Joe will get it singing again but it's never going to be a pristine example. But that's not a bad thing.
