Vijay ji. I must say that in india 90% of the industries do not follow safety protocols. Even the governments have a blind eye on this. We have department named Industries and boilers. Can you tell me how many times they have done safety periodic inspections. This happens in pollution department too. This happens only in India. Only God has to save this country.

This is very sensible podcast. The issue with us : govt don't have skill or budget to institutionalize human life safety. Take incidents of daily reports of crime. Especially in AP Industrial safety is complete farce. Pity on our people. First of all they don't have jobs opportunity in general. Second if they are doing job already in these industries they have to worry about their life safety at job and they don't even have a choice to quit because of financial and family commitments they built.

The responsibility lies equally with both management and auditing authorities. It’s not about making business easier; it’s about running business irresponsibly. It doesn’t matter how mic profit you make or how much you compensate the family if a life is lost..From what I see, local authorities and management turn a blind eye to these issues, working hand in hand. Management, driven by the fear of losing business, resorts to bribing officials, while employees remain indifferent until things go wrong. If a thorough audit were conducted today, over 90% of these industries would be exposed for their violations. Rather than doing that our government would just compensate the victims and move on ..This is a deeply rooted, systemic problem that stretches from the bottom to the top. In the USA, OSHA regulations are strictly enforced. I’m not even sure what regulations India has in place. What’s troubling is the ingrained casual attitude among Indians, which begins from childhood we just take so many things for granted. these things happened in the past will surely happen again, until authorities take a firm step about safety regulations.. which I believe wont happen

Concered stake holders should do the following: Risk assessment: Identify and address potential hazards. Safety training: Ensure employees are well-trained to handle these issues which clearly seems to be a failure in the present context. Equipment maintenance: Maintain equipment in good condition: this is the management issue. Emergency preparedness: Be prepared for accidents. GoAP also should be involved with concerned depts. Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations. Again periodical reviews should be undertaken. Community engagement: Involve the community meaning educate them to understand the the issues and act accordingly with all the stake holders especially all such entities that work towards their safety and security.

Another aspect to focus on is training workers in safety... a local body looking into potential dangers should be set up... educate them and workers will understand whether the management is responsible for their safety... they can choose to work or go for another employer

Limitations of a poor country who use cheap products for every thing resulting in accidents it seems. Lift ropes to houses where they live used beyond expiry date may as well result in accidents. Buses, autos and cars we travel etc also appear good outside but defective inside resulting in accidents. When boilors involved government should give subsidy to buy good once and see that replaced timely after the expiry date. High pressure that accumulates results in boiler's explosion. Leaks superficially done are vulnerable for dangerous accidents it seems.

Mistake is from the private firm and it requires a root cause analysis to prevent such mishaps, but unfortunately politics in AP are so dirty by the current regime that they speak with a forked tongue and spew venom instead of resolving the issue.. now companies will run away it seems if safety audit done but when a mishap occurred under YCP, the industry needs to closed compensation of 1cr enough will 1cr buy life etc.. non sens statements!!
