The usual short name for Seonghwa and Hongjoong is SeongJoong, but their unit name - as coined by them - is Matz - hence the title of the song. ETA: that song is 100% a diss track. he calls out stalker fans that put GPS on their car and things like that on this track. he calls them jobless. I love it so much.

FR in arriba I thought it was hongjoong rapping at first, I was so confused because mingi said fix on and I was like ‘oh, but it’s hongjoong now?’ and a few seconds in I realized ‘oh this IS mingi!!’

For “IT’s You”, someone said they asked Siri to play it, and it replied “Now playing I T’s You by ATEEZ” (aka sounds like ‘I TEASE YOU’) - idk if was deliberate but I’m shook 😅 and why else is the ‘T’ capitalised?!? Ooh and fyi “MATZ” is Hongjoong and seonghwa’s duo fandom name as the two eldest (they chose it themselves!). Honestly the whole album is perfection 🔥

No one is ever ready for Arriba Mingi lmao And this type of tone of voice is something he really enjoys, like in real life he often plays around with his voice and makes himself sound cuter for fun (not very often in official interviews, but he does it a lot in Wanteez episodes etc. where only the memebers and staff are present). The others said that when cameras aren't around Mingi often changes his voice to make himself less intimidating and likes to sound almost child-like. So many people that don't really know Ateez say that Mingi is scary, meanwhile all the members consider Mingi one of the cutest in the group lol Mingi's nickname is Princess, given to him by Yunho (his best friend since middle school). To this day Yunho says he thinks Mingi is "cute and adorable". And so many people are intimidated by Mingi when they first meet him (Yeosang was one of them lol), meanwhile Yunho said his first impression of Mingi was that he's cute :) I love that Mingi is finally feeling comfortable enough to let this side of himself shine for everyone to see. He's such a versatile rapper, with such a distinctive voice. He deserves and can afford to have some fun with it!
