Before Kcon 2019 NY, I was walking around Times Square looking for Ateez. I totally thought it was a shot in the dark, but I managed to hear the intro to Aurora and to my right was Ateez!

Also, bts has performed in New York before, they've also been on their interview shows so they've seen bts before and probably see them constantly on ads or other types of promotions. However, that does not excuse the fact people are assuming every male Korean Idol group that comes to America is 'BTS' which is exactly what has happened here.
