ATEEZ Demon Line Moments

Here are just a few of my favourite moments from members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and San that shows off their stage presence. I tried to specifically focus on fancams with the addition of a few different special moments. Hopefully this can be like speed run of some great performances of them. This is a bit of a Halloween special lol so enjoy!

I was forced to cut out quite a few clips due to copyright sadly. So, this video obviously can't cover everything and doesn't even cover everything I wanted it to but that's okay. Hopefully it's a nice little compilation for those looking for it anyways. I remember when I first got into ATEEZ I only knew of these three so I looked for performance examples. I hope this video can help anyone like that get more into ATEEZ!

While the three of them shine in their own respectively, as a non-atiny, San's presence scares me. I can't believe I witnessed the kpop Stan literally ridiculed this man for being 'too much' in his performance. I'm not even a stan but San stage presence is what I want from K-pop idols. Not just some mediocre changes in their facial expressions. K-pop Stans seems to limit stage presence as only the facial expressions, when stage presence is actually your whole performance in general. The energy, the connection and engagement to the audience, facial expressions. I'm really ranting here, but I really just can't believe that a gem like San is being labelled as 'too much' in terms of performance.

While all 3 of the demon line are phenomenal, I tend to be more blown away by Seonghwa because of how much more calm and steady he is off-stage, compared to San and HJ who are much more exciteable and nutty. His shift when he hits the stage is powerful, he become his evil twin or something lol. That said, San is definitely possessed during Hala Hala.

Seonghwa is just on another level imo. Yes, San has insane stage presence. Honjoong is very mob boss, joker vibes. Seonghwa is absolutely so good, he will play whatever role he is given in the song. If its halloween, he'll act like what he is. What I'm saying is that Seonghwa is playing a role and he excels at it.

Seonghwa excels in creepy concept. I can't watch his fan cams when ateez does this concept. His body movement in wonderland; Halloween stage looked like he was controlled by a rope or a rope doll. Hongjoong pretty smile turns into a different thing when doing this concept. He gives off Joker vibes 🤡🤪 San acted so well in the first seen. Also joker vibes 🤪. He energy level and deadly stare leaving shaken. He look intimidating in a good way 😊. The power this men hold 🤪🤯💀👿👿😁😁

Seonghwa is the reason I'm into ATEEZ. I saw him in Cyberpunk and that's it. Short and simple. San gives off very dominating and alpha energy on stage, that's why he stands out the most. He gives his absolute everything, he sacrifices his soul to Satan and he enters a different dimension when performing. And then Hongjoong. Hongjoong might look like the most tamed in the demon line but you get that lowkey insane, evil in disguise, insidious vibe from him. He is calm on the outside but madness burns in his eyes. And Seonghwa. Seonghwa is just demon. He's intense and arrogant and sinful. And his tongue. His facial expressions are diverse and I love it from the most subtle ones to the crazy possessed ones. He looks extremely confident on stage and I just love everything he gives on stage. ATEEZ is srsl the first group that impress me this deeply abt their performing skills. The demon lines stands out more but all 8 of them are good tbh. The others have their moments on stage too, like Mingi in MAMA 2019 😩

They are all amazing. I'd say in dark concepts, San has the most dramatic expressions, combined with his intense gaze and sharp moves, he's unstoppable. Hongjoong and Seonghwa's villainous grins and micro expressions also show how immersed they are into the concepts. For other concepts I think Hongjoong stands out a bit more. For example, in bright concept like WAVE, The Real, and Eternal Sunshine he doesn't just smile or grin during performances, he acts dorky, goofy and humorous to convey happiness and playfulness; and for sentimental songs like Turbulence, Not Too Late and Star 1117, his facial expressions of conveying a sense of longing, melancholy, sorrowful are very on point.

These three tend to bring the theatrics. They evoke every emotion from the energy of the song (e.g somber, electrifying, or bubbly) to the meaning behind the lyrics using their entire body and their amazing facial expressions. They embody the true meaning of "performers." That said, Seonghwa's wide-eyed look in every performance of "Guerilla" at the third "break the wall" during the dance break cracks me up every time 🤣 Also, San NEVER looks tired despite adding more subtle movements and energy than some of the other members. He's great for concepts where they go wild (e.g "Hala Hala" and "Guerilla"). He also has great balance, always being able to maintain his position even after whipping his head several times or making several leaps into the air.

I saw some comments says that they overperform, like in dancing is there really a overperform? Dancing means expressing yourself and Have you watch professional dancers with so much expression and stage presence on stage? Ateez is not your typical idols they were train to be a performers! The point here those kpop stand already used to see idols who were mediocre on stage, stiff, no expression and so on, ateez are so unique, they have scary expression cause it actually depends on the songs like c'mon it's a Halloween special and do you think they would twetums or be cute on stage, ateez are known to immerse on their role so its really expected ! I will never understand how fans always like to point out how power-orientated idols like, Jihyo, Yeji, Kai, San etc. are overdancing when professional dancers dance with the exact same, in most cases, even more power & energy. I feel like a lot of people watched those dance analysis videos by GGStans and those other channels and just ran with it because when I watch actual dancers critique idol dance videos, never once do they mention that rubbish. The fans who like to always point this out are the ones who have never even been in one dance studio.

They all have AMAZING stage presence. Hongjoong has really good stage presents, Seonghwa looks awesome with the movements and facial expressions, and Sans energy and facial expressions are PERFECT. Ateez is such a great performance group and every time I see things like this my jaw drops. They are all crazy good performers!! I really hope they know that they know that their hard work pays off because I am always in awe with their performances. Also their facial expressions all are a bit different and personal to each other, which I like a lot! Sometimes their facial expressions can be creepy, sad, sexy, cute, etc. And I’m all here for it. Just discovered this group. Watching this I now know what I felt was missing in stray kids maniac and circus videos. These boys are such good performers, from hongjoong’s joker character that’s sexy to seonghwa creepy character that gives me the shivers to san’s intense performance. I don’t get the “too much” that people mean. Their type of music needs this type of performances. I think it’s very fitting, I can pay money to watch their show would definitely be worth it. I think their management has to invest more on custome and stage props, would make the shows (theirs is more than a performance) so much better.

I remember when I met ateez, it was like 2 years ago, they were in their 2 years debut anniversary, the first time I saw San I was like "Oh my god, this guy...This guy is my typa boy" and I'm not joking, San I my standar, but not only bcz he is pretty, I'm talking about his personality on stage and "off camera". He's such a cute and kind person, but in stage he can't play a different role, he can express himself through his dance moves, he has an angelical, but at the same time baddie, vibe. At first look ppl would think that he is cold, the bad boy, mysterious boy, and I understand bcz I was one of those ppl, but when u became Atiny and u see who are this guys, u realize that San is such an passionate, kind, cute, funny and beautiful person who is always there to support their friends. I'm so grateful that ATEEZ gained popularity the last year, and I'm so happy that ppl recognized San's skills
