Fandoms can be brutal like you said. I’ve come across so many vicious comments and shorts posted on KZbin. Personally Ateez is really the only K-pop group I listen to. I like some BtoB for a different feel but while I don’t dislike Stray kids, Txt etc. I definitely just don’t vibe with them like I do Ateez. That being said I’d never bash on a group I’m not a fan of. The level of toxicity in some fandoms really is crazy, but I like to think those are the rare cases and in general most fans are normal rational people 😂

I think are mostly the most chronically online ones if you go out there, to kpop parties, clubs, festivals, random dances no one is like "WhY ArE ThEy PlAyInG NuGuS mUsIc?" peoplejust go to vibe and have fun and get extra excited when they play their faves.
