as a person who saw the full show i can confirm ATEEZ really woke me up! the gayo was pretty boring this year but i was so entertained by ateez's gimmicks- the astronaut rabbit concept, hongjoong's entry in that pink throne, their outfits and their unserious ass sunglasses, yunho's dance break and ofc their MICS WERE ON

Omg They included the MRITYUNJAYA MANTRA in the performance(0:42) This is a verse from the rig veda (a collection of sacred hymns of the Hindu religion). This mantra is about lord Shiva( the deity of creation and destruction), he's also known as the god of dance(Nataraja). This is one of the MOST powerful mantras and is believed to ward off negativity and fear. This performance gave me goosebumps cause I grew up chanting this mantra everyday while doing Pooja(prayer)😭😭

Fuck it, I’m stanning Ateez!!! I’ve been fighting it for a while now cause I really don’t have time for stanning another group but that’s it I’m Atiny now too. I’m pretty sure I’ve been stanning them for awhile without realizing, Choi San is my bias, Mingi my bias wrecker, but tbh depends on the day, they are all so talented I can’t keep track of who I like more. AAAAAA this stage was INCREDIBLEEEE from seonghwa's intro, the way they rotated dance solos between different members, jongho with his killer vocals making it look EASY to sing like that while doing choreo like this, bb trippin going all out WITH the bunny ears, and captain's "get up" that literally made me want to get a ladder to get more up than i already was bc i was already standing, ateez ALWAYS delivers and i hope they all know their hard work is soso appreciated!!! and especially given what seonghwa talked about with how the stylists remade the bunny ears like 30 times to try and make it work with the helmet, along with having to switch to a hand mic during rehearsal since the headset mic would get caught in the helmet too, to the entire team thank you for all your hard work in making stages like this truly special for us!!!!!
