Little fun fact, Seonghwa was screaming before his sword scene and was crying at the end of Wonderland performance at Coachella and it became an iconic moment of him
@sarajo91193 күн бұрын
The Break the Wall tour was named for the iconic fanchant (which Seonghwa came up with) from Guerrilla which you'll get to soon! But "break the wall" has been a lyric used in a couple of their songs, including Wonderland! The fanchant has been known as one of the loudest fanchants in kpop and has damaged eardrums before. So if you ever see them live, be sure to go with some ear protection (I used Loops when I saw them this summer).

The “this is what we call style” San, Seonghwa, yunho and Jongho all say the same line, but in a different dialect. WooYoung also uses a different dialect for his line. Everyone interprets the message differently, but I think it’s very much on brand with Ateez and their, no matter where you come from or who you are, your style is unique and cool just like everyone else’s. Kind of like, we don’t have to be like everyone else, this is us, and we are who we are, and we are cool.

hi! Sorry that was my mistake, my translators said they all use differ dialects (which they do) but woo does say something different. I’ll fix my comment. I subtitle a lot of Ateez content, my translators said this: wooyoung (essentially) says "there's a dance break now~" wooyoung says 춤 들아가유~ so 춤 is dance and the verb 들어가다 means "to go in" or "to be put in" so he's saying "the dance is going in" but obviously that sounds silly in English so it's better understand as "and now here's the dance break" normal standard korean would be 춤 들어가요 but he says 유 which is Chungcheong-do dialect.. She also explained the other dialects as well: San and seonghwa's dialect is very similar, both being southern Gyeongsan-do dialect, but they are slightly different. and yunho's is Gwangju dialect (or Jeollanam-do if you wanna say the province instead of the city) jongho says the same thing as san, seonghwa, and yunho at the very end, but he says it in Seoul standard. So it’s: San - 이게 바로 멋인기라 Seonghwa - 이런 게 바로 멋인기라 (both Gyeongsangnam-do) Yunho - 이것이 멋이여 (Jeollanam-do) Jongho - 이런 게 바로 멋입니다 (헤헷) (Seoul) + Wooyoung - 춤 들어가유 (Chungcheong-do)

Yes, the M Countdown in France was Jongho's first performance back after his knee surgery. All the members were super hyped to have him back after not having him for the entire South American leg of their tour.

That intro for The Real has become very iconic, so that when people say on Twitter, "Who's got that 1 ateez video" or something asking for a clip relating to aura etc, they always use that intro Also HJ has frequently used that fan and other props, to drop hints to future projects, sadly i don't know what it says on that fan When they perform The Real in concert, they always rotate members for the dance break and they even get BBtrippin involved in there as well. The bond they have with the dance team is incredible and they show a lot of love and respect for them

Wonderland Symphony No 9 is the only version they perform now. Coachella Wonderland was incredible! It was the last song in the nearly hour long set. Hwa changes his sword all the time. I think he's had about a dozen different ones, including a lightsaber (Hwa loves Star Wars) and a sword from LOTR.

I mean it’s an awesome version, so I’m not surprised that it’s the version that they do live now, there may or may not be some more versions of it for the Fever Extras too 👀

Idk if anyone mentioned it but The Real MV is inspired by a korean movie called Volcano High (2001) like you said it feels like live action anime and that's exactly how that movie is.

The krakens are in the coachella performance too. There’s also a performance of this one when Jonghos mic broke and he KEPT singing. And they heard him! At the back! Over all that music and noise. Hwas sword collection at KQ must be ridiculous at this point 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same one twice.

The way that they keep evolving and transforming their performances over the years is so fascinating and impressive to me. Looking back at the original version of Wonderland and then what it is now and seeing that progression of adding, changing, and evolving elements is something that makes Ateez a once-in-a-lifetime performance group for me. Their Towards the Light tour feels like a culmination of everything they've learned in the last 6 years and still shows even more potential for future projects and performances. I'll stop here, cause if I don't, I'm not sure how long this comment will be.

San, Seonghwa, Yunho and Jongho’s lines are different in the real because they’re saying it in their own dialect. Jongho using the Seoul one (formal one). The Real is a very Korean song so they decided to use Korean dialects too from the countryside members. They’re all saying the exact same line but diff dialects.
@violetception3 күн бұрын
the differing lines/lyrics before the chorus drop in the real are because the members are speaking in satoori. san and seonghwa each use gyeongsang satoori, with both being from southeastern, rural areas (namhae and jinju, respectively). yunho speaks the jeolla dialect from the southwestern area (he's from gwangju). i haven't gotten a clear answer on what satoori wooyoung uses, but i've seen that it might be chungcheong dialect (he's from gyeonggi)? and then jongho speaks the standard seoul dialect at the end, because he's from seoul. the addition of satoori really plays into/contributes to the theming of the song/mv in my opinion, since i've heard that in south korea people may be teased for their regional accents and encouraged to learn/use the seoul accent (yay classism). i think that both the additional korean instrumentals as well as embracing of dialect highlights ateez's point about humility and authenticity being what makes someone truly cool.

I suggest reacting to the behind of every kingdom performance they did. They’re around 30 minutes each, it’s in their official channel. I do not know how they survived it tbh, it makes sense it was a somewhat traumatic experience for them so much that Hongjoong said he doesn’t like to think about that time, especially the because of all the hate they received
