Sans 'Neowa Naui Promise' is literally my most favorite lyric in kpop. This song is what got me out of a TOUGH time in my life and it motivated me to move from a toxic place states away to get out of the darkness i was in. I literally had nothing but 500 dollars and moved and struggled, but now I have the best life for me that i ever had 18 months later. I have this lyric tattooed on me as a reminder that whenever I go through a dark time, together you and I will get through it and that's a promise. Ateez has literally saved my life, and brought literal light to me. They are my ult groups and San is my ult bias. Thank you for loving them so much 🖤🖤🖤🖤

this part of ateez’s storyline reminds me of the hunger games. i don’t remember what they are called, but those government guardian workers were dressed in white from head to toe, but they were doing terrible things. the man in white that appears in ateez’s storyline gives that vibe, he is always there when destruction happens and tails the teezers wherever they go. like surveillance.

Wooyoung's nasality in Promise is indeed different from what we're used to now. However, back then he always sounded like that. He improved a lot and now his nasality is mostly gone. It's great to see him develop his vocals like this tbh (I think KQ's vocal coaches are better than BigHit's coaches so that would explain why he started out as a weaker vocalist, just like Yeosang who also improved a ton)

Also Yeosang has stated so many times how he wants to show us so much :( but kq refused to give him any lines. What idol wants to be in a group & not sing? Atinys need to stop saying that lol

For jongho, he's the main vocalist. In my opinion, vocalists should get more lines than center time/screen time. Of course, they need those but it makes sense that way. For yeosang, i don't really know. He wants lines but he doesn't get it. Some have theorized that he has a unique voice that they can't seem to know yet what to do with it. I do agree at some points but I have absolutely no idea. I want to make guesses but only time can tell.

EVERY DAMN TIME I watch Promise video, I'm banging my head on the wall cuz like.... I was A BIT LATE (maybe half an hour-ish) to see them recording it live in Moscow, cuz they recorded it (partially at least) next day after their last concert of their Europe tour in Moscow, and i was there, nearby the Red Square where they recorded it, but i was in rush kinda to my train...

And yes, they are cute, and yes, Mingi is so hot, and if he wasn't my bias, Yunho and San would be, as they are my ias wreckers.. they are both soooo good, I cannot, and when San gets demonic is another story lool. On another note, at some point, you should definitely see their halloween mv, Black Cat Nero, with Kim JongKook. KJK was a first generation idol, from the group Turbo, who took an Italian children's song and made it into a song, the black cat. And then came Ateez who remixed it and featured KJK. He is Mingi's idol so we were all happy for him. And then, yesterday they released a new collaboration with him, called be my lover (totally different vibe), and it is so cutee!!!!! By the way, KJK is also on the Korean show Running man (which I have not seen).

What I love about ATEEZ's lyrics is that, as you said, pretty much all of their songs can be read as if they're singing to Atiny. I've learned over time that their whole concept revolves around helping the troubled youth of today get through the tough times they had to experience yesterday. The pirate concept is a huge metaphor for people fighting for freedom and treasure, and the treasure itself is a huge metaphor for happiness. ATEEZ do their best to become a source of comfort, strength, and encouragement for their listeners and just about every song reflects that. But, all the same, you can also say that most of their songs are about each other and the bonds they've formed between themselves. 8 really does make 1 team with these boys and just as their concept is about encouraging Atiny, it's about encouraging themselves too. They found each other and found a home, and now they're sharing pieces of that home with us. In the choreo for Promise, San & Jongho make a pinky promise. ATEEZ are in this together forever; they have each other's backs, and no one is taking them down.

Desire is such a genius song. It keeps building, the tension keeps rising, the music imitates that heavy heat beat, and there is no drop/release. It creates that feeling of longing for something so bad, but never being able to reach the destination. It also ends with a build up that doesn't resolve, just the 'I love my desire' - kind of like stating that it's okay to never get to the end, when the process is this exciting. I might be completely wrong tho lol
