This 3 song mini album slapped me across the face real hard, but I loved it. I'm gonna be doing that "Nero Nero Nero" dance in my sleep 🥴😵 EDIT: Random af, but I noticed later that the black cat nero performance video was posted exactly on my birthday, and IDK WHY I JUST HAD TO MENTION IT sksksks. Makes me love it even more I guess 😂❤

Kjk is a living legend in korea. One of the OGs in Kpop. His popularity is like the second biggest in Korea next to Yoo Jae Suk and even after 20+ years in the industry his name is still relevant and have much more recognition than most kpop groups now cuz of running man. And his peak of fame before entering military service was even crazier than now

Yeah, since the Black Cat Nero video was just released as a performance video it never got a digital release which meant it couldn't be played on official streaming sites like Spotify and all that. Now that they released this mini album with Kim Jongkook they included it and it is now available on all the sites for people to enjoy. The studio version of the song is also really special in that the sound is extra clear or remastered or whatever and you can hear the different parts a lot more clearly than in the music video. I felt like I was enjoying the song for the first time all over again. :D

White love orginally a really famous song from KJK's turbo back in late 90s..Ateez recomposed and give it a jazzy vibe and also change the rap parts, but the melody and lyrics are by Turbo...Black Cat Nero is also another famous song from turbo in 1996 if i'm not mistaken..Turbo was really huge back then, sweep most of the charts in korean music industry and got lot of hits song..then after they broke up in 2000, KJK started his solo career and won lot of awards, and the one that got highlited the most is when he won the best artist in music industry for 3 biggest tv stations in Korea in 2005..he is the second and the last one until now to achieve such feat...then he focuses more on his variety career and received best artist in variety in 2020 and the first male to achieve best artist in both music and variety..Nowadays he is popular as a variety star KJK from runningman...but his singing career was a huge success..you should try listening to his signature song which is One Man and Loveable(which gone viral lately due to covered by new artist)..he got lot of beatiful song(lyrics and melodies), you should give it a try..and there is a vid about his tragic past in this industry posted on youtube past few days, you will definitely grow your respect towards him after watching it

‘White love’ gives me jazzy vibes and it sounds very christmassy too, which I guess fits the name of the song and the album (Season Songs: summer, winter and halloween). It’s my fave off the album ☺️✨

Loved your reaction ♥ I'm still not over Be My Lover... Seeing Seonghwa (my bias) rap together with Hongjoong and Mingi (both wreckers XD) makes me so incredibly happy! I don't know why but I can't stop smiling during their parts. And Mingi seems so happy in this 🥺 I'm so glad he's back ♥ Also the whole choreo really just seems like a fitness workout with KJK as Ateez' coach XD White Love is indeed veeeery jazzy xD It's not really my type of music, but I could imagine listening to it in a café or a bar during winter 😂 After Black Cat Nero I'm still waiting for a whole rock concept someday xD It fits them so much! The song was released last year but only as the mv, it's just now that we're finally getting the song on an actual album in studio quality :) Also Turbo is the duo that Kim JungKook is part of and Ateez performed their song at immortal songs (and won) and seems like they really impressed KJK so much that he agreed to join for the MV version. Fans of him say that he doesn't do collabs very often, so to have him do all these songs and a reality show together with Ateez really means a lot to us ♥

In all honesty in my reaction here I didn't even catch Seonghwa rapping 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess I didn't expect it and assumed it was Hongjoong idk TT I would have definitely said something otherwise cause DAMN :O Only after I read the comments about Seonghwa, I was like what the heck, and watched the video again. @@AnneLemonadeReacts he actually initially auditioned to KQ as a rapper, but then joined ateez as a vocalist instead, so he definitely had a little experience before. He also rapped on the Fever Part 2 B-Side the Leaders (but everyone kinda did xD) and during Mingis hiatus he sometimes took over his parts during performances and rapped for the japanese songs on the Dreamers EP, but it was super rare so I'm really happy they let him do it more often these days 🥰

This collab was really fire! As others have suggested, I highly recommend watching their performance of Black Cat Nero on Immortal Songs (as well as the other 3 times they have performed there). The live is so amazing, and I love how different all these songs are on the mini album. Btw did you know ATEEZ has a comeback on 13th of September! The black cat nero was original a cover of jongkooks groups Turbos black cat nero which was a reinterpretation of a old italian children song. Turbo is a group from the 1st generation of kpop and was very popular for its time. This was shown on and won immortal song 2. I would advice to watch the immortal songs stages they have had because they have now won 3 immortal songs episodes with 3 different covers of legends songs. They won the episode with jongkook first, then they was in another after where they did not win but did well, then they won immortal songs with Rain performing his song its raining then the last one they won psys episode performing infront of the legend himself and performing psys song "right now" they are now the boy kpop group with the most wins in immortal songs and shared 1st for pop group overall together with mamamoo.

If you look closely they (KQ or someone) literally ships woo-san in MVs and choreo moments. I don't hate it! Also probably already said: the first song was written by the boys in house producer EDEN as a 1st gen tribute sound and choreo is also 1st gen like. We would compare to Zumba now lol. Black cat Nero was technically what started it all with Mr jong kook They were on immortal songs (competition show to see who covers the specific artists music that was going to be judging that episode) they won and Mr jong kook ended up making the Nero mv with them.
