@@Primalliquid92 The whole stats thing. "Attack +3, Enemy defense -1 on turn 2". That kind of thing. It's something I've always struggled with to understand in these kinds of games and card games. I can get a few things, like Quality and traits, and the ingredients traits descriptions "Poison cure" for example.

Here I am stuck at the final boss so I thought I should check the guides to see where I'm lacking and I saw the intro. I was a frog in the well, was happy with A grade equipment with 113 quality with +0 Hp and some +40 ish atk. so that's actually how you play Ryza lol

haha Atelier in general is one of those games where once you know the true secret behind equipment you can make some very very strong weapons. it has a little bit of a learning curve typically but is also one of those things that looks more confusing than it actually is

dont worry about gear, what you need early on is items. go to the atelier and go through all the items you can make making sure to unlock all the new recipes. eventually you can create a Bomb and a Craft, make these with "Destructive" traits. for the rock guys there use the Bomb because they're weak to it. Early on items are amazing and should absolutely be used to there full effect. post game items lose there effectiveness because of how broken gear gets.

I got a question. I'm new asf to the atelier series and i'm still wrapping my head around the synthesizing and the material loops to create items and unlock new recipes and such but for traits like skill charge, how do I get it to max out at my characters level of 30 ? Do I get items that have the same element and trail of skill charge and put them together to level it up or what ?

skill leveling changes depending on the atelier in question, for Ryza you need to combine 2 skills with the same name to increase there level, skill levels however are different to character levels, skills have there own caps unique to the skill and are not impacted by your own level

The chasm between what the level of mechanics the game ACTUALLY teaches you, that can easily get you *to* the final boss, and the level of mechanics mastery you need JUST to get to phase 2, is a fucking brick wall

There's no guide for how a total Atelier series newbie gets 'perfect' ingots. That's not somrthing I picked up with my own intuition while playing the game normally

Thanks, very helpful! Super Skill doesn't seem to appear for me either in the garden or any world creation levels I tried. It took some fiddling around to get it off a Polish Powder I happened to have it on. I gather you need the Revelation Book for crafting items used in stage 3 and that has something to do with Pamila. The woman with the goat on the farm mentioned her but she's nowhere to be seen. (I haven't done the post-game bosses yet so don't know if that's why.)

pam appears after you finish normal quests and you can only complete her quest line after all other quests in the game are done. but yes you need her recipe book to create the sages book

Yeah I've beaten the other quests and got the Secrets of Alchemy book from the "Living in the Ruins" Pamila quest which lets you forge Goldoterion. But the Philosopher's Book requires the Revelation Book from any "Ancient Knowledge" quest apparently. The farm girl made mention of her in regard to finding more pieces of a pendant and that's the last I saw of it, I don't see Pamila anywhere. Update: Got the book, forms out I just needed to continue the artefact quest at the volcano. Now I can wrap up making all this amazing gear you’ve been doing guides for!

high quality bombs, at this point you can quite easily make 999 quality items with decent traits so try and create a good craft with 999 quality and good traits then theres also "Bomb" itself which is good, likewise you can improve your armour/weapons

I beaten the dragon first time twice (cuz I didn't grab enough Underworld Rotwood to get to the Holy Drop) - all I know is this: Ryza and Lent at level 28, Klaudia at level 27 (make sure to have the level 2 or level 3 weapon - level 1 is default weapon) - Noble Jacket (or better) for armor, and make sure both ring slots for the characters fighting are filled. I had bomb, green beans and plagig on Ryza - and spammed the bomb, and converted on other 2 once charges run out - don't need more than level 3 attack thing (need 20AP for level 2 etc). Other than that, the fight should be easy - as for getting 999 quality items - best I can make so far is 105 (for one of the quests that needed 100 or higher quality)

I had this problem. Couldn't get it from gardening or world creation dives. I'd somehow got it on a small batch of old Polish Powders way back so wound up having to find a way of transferring that indirectly onto a Philosopher's Stone.

I know it's not really a big deal but using all perfect ingots, my finished weapon only has 399 ATK instead of 400 and I'm so confused xD All the other stats are identical.

theres a patch for ryza 1 (came about a month or 2 after release) which allows infinite reforges so you can easily get 999 in stats

1st time to Atelier & on 1st play through: how do you get all these crafting items? I manage to get a few at a shop or am able to synthesize a few at a time or get one extra with the gem duplicator, but not near enough to use this process. Have managed to get 1 weapon to level 199 but it won't seem to budge above that even when I add quality with the weapon buff forge. Thanks.

its a pretty early unlock through normal recipes, go through your items and make all the new recipes you can

i cant remember, think its one of the gems. just go through all your items and if theres a white piece of paper next to its name then it means it has an item you can unlock from it, if it has red then it means it has an item but you cant unlock it yet.

if you look on your character stats page theres something at the bottom that says "quality" it acts as a stat modifier. with maxed out quality stats are multiplied by 3

you might be missing the one from the normal chest then, one is story related, one is normal chest (need wind shoes with the highest tier jump) and the final is clue treasure chest

Is there any point in doing all this? The game get's too boring if bosses doesn't even pinch you. And I heard all the side bosses, that are supposed to be stronger than the final boss, does 1 damage to you if you overpower your equipments.

well, you cant really make gear like this until postgame anyway and theres optional bosses coming with an update and a new higher difficulty in which yes you will need stuff like this to beat

Does weapon's atk affects the item damage like bombs? or how important of a weapon if I mainly use item in fights?

Stats dont no, however speed/defense/HP will be important and unless you go for perfect items including debuff and breaking items, then take the time to build up your hit count items just arnt worth using. overall DPS is actually higher by focusing on skills instead

I feel like the game is very gate keepy. the game doesn’t do a very good job of telling me where things are and then communities like this one doesnt do a very good job of telling me where things are either. You all just say stuff like oh, you should be able to craft that by now, but never elaborate on it. Its extremely frustrating.

99% of recipes are unlocked just by going through the story, the few that arnt are from quests. finally there is 2 recipes from chests. the game is very hand holding for new players when compared to older atelier games. In this game its basicly a case of "if you cant craft it, continue the game until you can"
