Yankee Dabbler is actually one of the top 5 sellers in the USA, so they wont screw you over. :)

Oh. Seems I was really lucky. I saw the video of this loco from Darryl Cruis from the Everton Subdivision and ordered one by Lombard. Didn’t know it was so special.

Nice! Yeah they definitely flew off the shelves. It’s interesting you say that; in the past I have bought models and had no idea of their significance. These would probably go for a pretty penny on eBay right about now. I know many modelers that would love to get their hands on one. Thank you for watching!

I'm glad you were able to get one man. That looks awesome with 4014 and the excursion train. I've got other pre-orders in the works, but going to see if I can squeeze out just enough money to get my hands on one from Yankee Dabbler.

Great looking train. I have a similar locomotive # 4000 from Genesis, and one Rio Grande SD 70ACe, one SD 80MAC, one SD90MAC (NS ex CR), one GE ES44AC. More to come. Looking for a big boy. It will happen. I also have a series of UP passenger cars, NOT Walters, most are ConCor. I love Genesis locos with Tsunami.

Nice collection! I do love the SD70ACe in the Rio Grande scheme. BLI just released the big boy. Trainworld still has a few if you’re looking at BLI. Rivarossi released some a while back. Trainworld has them in stock with sound. Rivarossi did well on their rendition of 4014. I agree Genesis models are great especially with Tsunami sound. Thank you for watching!

@@modelrailroadingthesouthwest The SD 70ACe Southern Pacific Daylight is on order, I missed the Katy. I try to buy on pre-order. Hope Genesis will re-issue the Big Boy 4014. I have to slow-down a bit money wise. Haaaa!

Athearn did ok on this release. They did however neglect to apply the steam program emblem on both sides of the lower nose. After market decals to the rescue

I did notice those decals were not on the model, although I think it may have been modeled by Athearn when it was ran in 2021 in the Big Boy Excursion train. In 2021 it didn’t have those decals. You’re right though, good thing for decals. I found some on eBay that I’m going to get because I want to model 4015 as it was in 2023. Thank you for watching!

I think they had released a small batch this year without the shield when I bought this one. I don’t think they advertised it. There was an influx of them popping up on online shops. I do hope they do them with the shields too. I found decals for them though on eBay. I hope you find one. Thank you for watching!

@@scenariomckinney Nice! I’m torn because I love both ScaleTrains and Athearn lol. I think I might prefer ScaleTrains over athearn sometimes though lol.
