Atheism really is population control. Atheists are the ones not having children because their comfort is their highest priority. "Survival of the fittest" is a religion. Because ultimately, who determines who is fit to survive, when you don't even give unborn children a chance at life? Circumstances don't determine a person's fitness to survive or thrive. On Atheism, however, a human life is disposable; if a person's circumstances are unfavorable, let's say they got in a car accident and are now disabled, or happen to have a health condition, or are old, they don't serve a purpose according to the standards of the world, so might as well unalive them because "survival of the fittest". Another thing that caught my attention is that on one hand, one of the atheists in the video said that he doesn't need religion or God to inform his morality because all people have a conscience. And then later, "morality is subjective". How does "all people have a conscience and don't need God to be moral" account for the fact that there are evil people in the world who kill, steal and destroy? "Oh, well, morality is subjective and relative." Interesting. So, if morality is relative, then why is leaning on God for morality "bad"? Why is ANYTHING bad at all? If morality is subjective and everyone determines their own morality, then you have no right to tell anyone else that they're wrong or that their actions are bad. Because it's all subjective. But it's also "bad" when people don't think it's subjective and relative. Atheists can be summed up thus: "trust me bro, just listen to me because I think I'm right. Yeah, I said that I think you're right too because everyone has their own truth, but my truth is better than your truth because I said so".

“To the unmarried and widows I say that it is best for them to remain as I am [celibate and single]. But if they do not have self-control, let them get married. For it is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire” (1 Cor. 7:8-9)" So the ideal for Christians is to be celibate like Paul and therefore childless.

@@tomasrocha6139 The ideal according to Paul. He's very clear about that. He also writes extensively on how men and women ought to conduct themselves before, within and after marriage. If one doesn't want children and the responsibility it comes with, one ought not to have sex. That's a high bar for most people, and Paul understands this, which is why he says that it's better to marry than to burn with desire. Atheism, however, promotes consumerism and the idea that satisfying the desires of the flesh and fleeting pleasures is all there is to life. The fact that "Pride" is aggressively pushed on every country and every institution and business on the planet is evidence of that.

Once in my (college) bio class, we were discussing evolution. A common argument against evolution is the argument of complexity which, I feel, is a pretty good argument. An evolutionist attempted to refute this by saying, “the only difference between a spoon and a cat is that a cat is more complex.” They acted like this was a profound statement. Yet if you asked the evolutionist, did the spoon evolve over time or did someone create it? They would say that someone made the spoon, and yet it’s immensely less complex than a living creature. But the cat evolved? If you stumbled upon a brick wall in the middle of the desert, you would think that someone was there to make the bricks and place them in an organized manner. The structures and functions found in biology point to a design!

What's secular science, a lot of their equations couldn't work without making some things up meaning red conning their ideas so that it could work with no evidence which requires more faith than a Christian believing in their own faith. Literal argument that Thomas Aquarius does against Islam because Islam lacks evidence from outside records. For example he makes a case how there's outside evidence And records about Jesus Christ in some of his miracles. While in the Quran he said that Muhammad supposedly split the moon in half and put it together yet there's no outside sources from anywhere in the world to seeing that happen. Also the Quran gets a lot of locations wrong... Christianity is Blind Faith is kind of retarded, Christians actually do have evidence of the religion.

If an atheist says morals are subjective just ask them if murder will ever be correct ? Ofc the answer is no meaning there is objective morality. Now let me debunk atheism 1. Straw Man Fallacy: The challenge misrepresents the religious claim. People who support religion do not argue that non-religious people can't have morals. Instead, they argue about the foundation for objective morality. 2. Objective Morality: For morality to be truly objective, it must be grounded in something beyond human opinion. For believers, this grounding is found in God's unchanging nature. 3. Relativism vs. Objectivism: Without God, moral standards are seen as relative. This means moral principles can change based on societal or individual beliefs. For example, if society once believed slavery was right, then, under moral relativism, it was right at that time. Let's break down this argument: 1. Misrepresentation of the Religious Claim The challenge asserts that you don't need religion to have morals and that the lack of empathy, not religion, is the issue. This statement addresses a simplified view of the religious position. Most believers acknowledge that non-believers can act morally. The critical question is not whether non-believers can have morals but rather what grounds these morals. The real issue is about the foundation of objective morality. 2. The Foundation for Objective Morality Objective morality suggests that some actions are right or wrong independently of human opinions. For instance, the statement "slavery is wrong" is believed to be true regardless of whether any particular society believes it to be true. This objectivity requires a foundation that transcends human subjectivity, which believers identify as God. Without God: - Subjectivity: Morals become subjective, dependent on individual or societal beliefs. - Changeability: What is considered moral can change over time and across cultures. With God: - Objectivity: Morals are grounded in God's eternal and unchanging nature. - Consistency: Moral principles remain constant regardless of human opinions. 3. Relativism vs. Objectivism If morals are merely a human invention (moral relativism), then nothing is inherently right or wrong. Instead, morality fluctuates with societal norms and individual beliefs. For example: - Historical Context: If a society once considered slavery acceptable, then under moral relativism, it was "right" at that time. - Moral Relativism: This view implies that moral judgments are based on cultural consensus rather than any inherent truth. In contrast, believers argue for moral objectivism: - Inherent Truth: Actions like slavery are inherently wrong, regardless of societal beliefs. - Divine Standard: This inherent wrongness is grounded in God's nature, which provides an unchanging standard. Conclusion The challenge acknowledges that non-religious individuals can exhibit moral behavior, which is not disputed. The crux of the argument is about the foundation of these morals. Without belief in God, morals become subjective and relative, susceptible to change with societal norms. With belief in God, morals are objective and grounded in a transcendent standard. This leads to the conclusion that the existence of objective morality implies the existence of a moral lawgiver, which believers identify as God.

@Pyr0Ben
@Pyr0Ben 2 ай бұрын
I think I can help :) While human morality is subjective, defined by our whims and selfish desires, God's morality is objective. His will and nature do not change. What is aligned with God's character is good, and thay which is opposed to Him is evil. We have two ways of following God's moral laws. Firstly, we can intuit it. Scripture tells us that His moral law is engraved in our hearts. That's why we sort of know generally right from wrong. We intrinsically know that people have innate value, and that it is good to tell truth. More than that, we feel guilty when we've done wrong, unless we let our sin numb our conscience. Secondly, we learn what is right and wrong from scripture. For example, God commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves. We also learn that we are created in His image, and He came down to die for us because He loves us. Therefore, it is right to love others, just as God first loved us. You seem to have this misconception that Christians pick and choose which laws in the Old Testament to obey. We're supposed to love our neighbor, but we dont have to obey the bits about eating pork and wearing mixed fabrics? There's a distinction between God's eternal moral laws, and the customary laws designed for Israel to distinguish them among the nations. It was the role of the Israelites to bring the Messiah into the world. Once Jesus fulfilled that role, he also fulfilled those laws. They don't apply anymore, their purpose has been fulfilled.

Morality/Religion simply means a set of rules you live by. Sure, an atheist could live by their own set of rules, but without rules founded in God, there is no universal concept of good to assign to the rules. That's the point. And, yes, even saying there are no rules is indeed a rule, so there is nobody without religion.

Morality is the cognitive process of differentiating between human intentions, decisions, and actions that are morally appropriate (ought to occur in a certain dilemma) from those inappropriate (ought not to occur in a certain dilemma). Like all cognitive assessments, moral assessments always and necessarily involve the subject's own considerations. Therefore, morality is _always and necessarily_ SUBJECTIVE. Each and every individual is the sole arbiter of his or her own morality. I, and I alone, determine which human behaviors are moral, amoral, or immoral, just as everyone else does.

It literally points out you can have the goal of minimising pain. If a group agrees on a goal like minimising pain, they can ban stabbing outside of specific circumstances, spend more money on funding research for treatable diseases etc. If morality is not objective, how is it an issue? In everyday usage you can absolutely ascribe to relative morals and different cultures/humanity can change their morals over time. Do you think it's like an epic own to say "S-so you think murder isn't objectively wrong???". No, I don't but I do think it is wrong and I don't want to do it. So what? Ironically, I have never seen an argument from you against moral relativism other than that it "feels" or "sounds" wrong or something

@@shamadooee I know we all have an aversion to physical pain. Duh. I'm asking why we should seek the reduction of pain as a valuable goal. I'm asking for a good reason, besides "everyone agrees on it". What pain are we talking about? Physical pain, mental, spiritual? In many ways, pain is necessary and can make us grow. "Reduction of pain" sounds like a virtuous smokescreen for "maximization of pleasure", and anyone who doesn't have their head up their ass can see where that leads. I dont wan't to cause unnecessary physical pain because all animals and people were created by God and thus deserve respect. We are commanded by scripture to do this: "A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel" (Proverbs 12:10). See? I've derived an objective reason why reducing animal cruelty is good from scripture and reason. My argument against moral relativism isn't that it feels wrong. Its that its completely subjective, and ultimately appeals to our own selfish sinful desires before any real standard of goodness.
@shamadooee

@@Pyr0Ben The examples I gave above were putting in place laws to reduce violence and funding research on curing diseases. How are either of these just "maximising pleasure"? What would you gain from instead letting violence and disease run rampant? Is there a lesson in that? Finding out that they're bad? > I'm asking for a good reason, besides "everyone agrees on it" Define "good". Why should I care if it is good or not if it aligns with everyone's goals? > why we should seek the reduction of pain as a valuable goal. Because human beings place value on staying alive and not being in pain. Duh indeed Are you proposing that if morals are subjective, then we should not care about minimising pain? What is your logical basis for making that jump? > I dont wan't to cause unnecessary physical pain because all animals and people were created by God and thus deserve respect. We are commanded by scripture to do this What if you were instead commanded by God to kill your child? Would that be moral? > My argument against moral relativism isn't that it feels wrong. Its that its completely subjective Moral relativism =/= subjectivism. Just google the difference. Also there is no argument for either of the world views here, just what you say below which feels very much like an "it feels wrong" argument > Its that its completely subjective, and ultimately appeals to our own selfish sinful desires Explain how reducing disease or violence is "sinful"

Regardless of the religion one chooses to follow, as long as it brings meaning and purpose to their life, it is irrelevant which specific belief system they adhere to. Different individuals may find fulfillment in Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, or the new age movement. By selecting a religion that resonates with their interests and aspirations, individuals can enhance their spiritual practice and derive the utmost benefit from their life experiences. This is my FAVORITE question to ask material monists (which 99% of atheists are): "What is truth?" If material monism is true, either truth is material or it doesn't exist. If truth is material, then why doesn't it have its own square on the periodic table like gold, iron, carbon, etc...? Material monism literally can't account for the existence of truth and self-refutes if you ask that one simple question. BTW, thanks for posting these, Kyle. I absolutely HATE the feeling of knowing atheism is wrong but not knowing how to explain why, and floundering in a debate with an atheist accordingly.

I understand why you've floundered in debates. Granted. I am not a materialist, this argument is still poor. Truth, like any other concept, is an idea. Ideas can be broken down, from a materialistic standpoint, into the result of brain chemistry. Truth, thus, like any other idea, is a certain state of a certain brain. Truth may thus inform other brainstates and the actions of that organism. How does this relate to atheism?
