The hadith says that if we should live to see this day, we should not take anything from it. That is the answer as to why Muslims should not go digging for it. Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Soon the river "Euphrates" will disclose the treasure (the mountain) of gold, so whoever will be present at that time should not take anything of it." They say how most knowledge was already there such as the Talmudic texts and Greek Philosophers. One of my favourite prophesy is, about the time when muslims would abandon camels and would come to mosques in iron boxes. I imagine atleast some Arabs at that time would have felt so dystopian. Also prophesying about television is a good one too.

I personally don't see an issue with claiming that species change shape and adapt. Because Allah is the one doing that. Creation in stages, in the wombs but also outside of them, he adapts us from being a child to being an adult to being old and regressing in development. So that idea of static creation isn't in Islam in my opinion based on the evidence in the Quran. This doesn't mean that the ones making the theory of evolution don't lie and make up assumptions, of course they do, they also claim it is a process happening by chance, that is what we reject because there is no such thing as "random" Also Allah subhana wa taala already said, the example of Adam is like that of Isa ibn Maryam peace be upon them both. There were other creatures before humanity living on Earth, the jann for instance, and perhaps other hominids, i see no evidence against it in the Quran. So if the scientists find those hominids, that doesn't prove we come from them, just as it doesn't prove Isa ibn Maryam comes from a man... even if for some that seems obvious. Allah creates the way he wills, and he showed us miracles before so as believers we don't see this as an stretch because we do have evidence. Allahu 3alam. I 100% oppose the idea of submitting or water downing to please the disbelievers who are deluded enough to deny even the most logical basic idea of God. But Allah did promise us to show us his signs in the future until we knew for sure this is the truth, and part of it has been empirical discoveries, including fossils and whatnot... So we must do this, NOT because of disbelievers, but because we must collect the signs of Allah to better reassure ourselves, just like the prophets were resurred, even tho they already believed, like Abraham peace be upon him seeing the birds being revived by Allah in real time... Also to show the lost sould, by the permission of Allah, stronger evidences. I was an agnostic for the longest time, i'm young so yeah majority of my life. And sure the theory of evolution is faulty, and believing in it as fact isn't an argument, but i think if the Quran shows evidence for evolution, creation in stages or "Allah prefecting the form" of a creation, then we should mention it, because Allah does mention it in the Quran for a reason...

Yes, I know where you’re coming from, and it’s something that can be easily inferred from many ahadith; we don’t affirm them because their usage of the term entails many loaded connotations. Our issues with them are mainly two assertions; a) that life can somehow come from inanimate things, and b) that humans evolved from apes- and both are inevitable since they assume naturalism in all things. We know for a fact that the origins of creation are things that we can observe, which would entail significant change, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible to discern them; Say, “Journey throughout the earth and observe how he originated creation, then Allah will bring it into being once more. Surely Allah is most capable of everything” 29:20.

@@vibz8346 In the end Allah knows best. But yes, we must take the lead, because evidence is our friend, we should formulate the theories with basis in scripture AND in empiricism. Not like atheists do, nor like people who reject new evidences.
