It absolutely baffles me that some atheists can’t see how these issues are tied to religion(s). My daughter is an open atheist in the Army. Her dog tag says “atheist” on it and I got my first tattoo, of that dog tag, on my left arm. While atheists are “welcome” in the Army, some of her superiors have said “the quiet part” quietly to their peers and it has caused uncomfortability for her and she suspects, the slowing down of promotions and coin awards. While they’re careful with what they say, she knows what the reality is. Free time on Sundays for the religious and for the atheist……cleaning time.

I was born in 1974, I was raised Catholic, went weekly to CCD, as I went to a public school. My parents were not particularly religious, we didn’t do any familial bible study, didn’t really pray. We went to church on Christmas and Easter only. I was never really a believer but never called myself an atheist either. I just went to CCD, listened to them ramble on and went on my way and forgot it right when I got home. I used to identify as conservative. I abhorred illegal immigration, thought affirmative action was unnecessary and was “Pro-life”. I thought welfare was more abused than used. When it came to social issues I was passionately indifferent. In that I had zero hatred for gays/minorities/etc, I thought using government resources on stuff like gay marriage was just a waste of time. As I wasn’t consciously aware of personality knowing anybody I cared about that was gay and being hurt as a result of the social climate. Not even aware that it was that very climate that scared them into remaining in the closet. It was a case of “it doesn’t effect me or my loved ones so how bad can it be”. I was stupid. I was ignorant. Then with the emergence of KZbin and evolution of the internet as a source of hearing other voices, I began to dig into my disbelief in god and embrace that disbelief rather than ignore it. I binge watched KZbin videos from The Thinking Atheist, NonStampcollector, EbolaWorld, AronRa and of course The Atheist Experience. I owned my disbelief and became outspoken about the ridiculousness of religion and the bullshit influence it has on society. And in doing so I found my conservative beliefs starting to erode. As I started looking at them objectively and honestly. Exploring how and why I had acquired those beliefs in the first place. It wasn’t necessarily my parents. My dad was left-leaning middle up to the day he died and my mom used to be apolitical, but today is very liberal. My conservative beliefs were more influenced by friends and associates more than anything. Working and living in a town of primarily white, church going families. But after stepping back and looking at myself and why I held those beliefs I got very angry at myself. As i bought full into the anti-immigrant, anti-welfare, social-apathetic bullshit that I detest today. I was so buried in privilege that I thought anyone who was complaining were simply lazy or just had an attitude problem. And I absolute credit my coming around to embracing my atheism as the reason I abandoned those beliefs. Today I am a passionate advocate of gay rights, civil rights, racial rights, immigration reform….everything the right wingers label as “social justice warriors”. I am an outspoken, unapologetic progressive. I don’t necessarily identify as liberal per se, it is more a case of despising conservative ideology than embracing liberal ideology. I fully support most liberal causes but I still disagree with some. I am definitely someone my 2004 self would hate. I am not ashamed of my old self, I never explicitly supported anything that today’s conservatives stand for. But I do have “Ideological regret” that I was so easily misled and influenced. Today I have several gay family members, a trans nephew. And while I never would have rejected them even in my past, I ignored the need of that community for support and allies back then. My atheism made me see things more clearly and honestly. Keep it up Matt, been watching you and the Atheist Experience for some 15 years now. It makes a difference.

Completely agree with this video. I am gay, and the primary opposition for gay marriage was religion. Without that, there was really no basis in which one could object to it. I was absolutely looking forward to the Supreme Court arguments because I knew they couldn't argue religious points there, and I listened to the entire oral arguments of the Windsor case. It was an absolute mess for the litigator arguing against gay marriage. Pretty much his biggest point was that gay people couldn't procreate and marriage facilitated that. One of the female Justices asked about an 80 year old couple that couldn't procreate- should they be able to get married? The litigator said that they can still procreate. The ENTIRE court erupted in laughter, and a male Justice said, "I don't think many babies are coming out of that marriage." What is sad is that despite this case being an OBVIOUS mess for the anti-gay litigation team, they still only lost by 1 vote. While there is much more that goes into consideration other than oral arguments for a SCOTUS decision, it demonstrated to me that even an impartial, sophisticated body such as the high court is likely still prone to religious bias. Though, I can understand the opposing side of the issue you present, Matt. The debate between black rights and women's rights with Frederick Douglass and Clara Barton (black rights movement vs women's rights movement) is a prime example. History does suggest that there is only so much reform that society can handle at one time. But I still tend towards Matt's side, and a quote from the fantastic movie The Great Debators Comes to Mind. "The time for justice, the time for freedom, and the time for equality is always, always right now."

That's no women's rights but robbing rights from men and adding them to women, that's discrimination against men based on sexual criteria. Disgratulations, they successfully fooled you. Let's see where, when and what indoctrination is practiced in institutions which, unlike the churches, are mandatory for children, so no matter wanted or not, by the parents and/or children, they are inoculated with the delusion of the Universe out of nothing... That's the way the detractors of own Creator manage to delude and fabricate a deluded and immoral society, by bypassing the right of the parents to chose if the idea of all out of nothing is inoculated into their children or not. That mandatory inoculation is filthy and unrightful and now they got to the next step, evilish inoculation the minds of the children with sex at ages they don't have either the interest, nor the biological development to sustain such acts... Furthermore the next step is already taken, inoculating all the people with harmful substances they call vaccine, mandatory as the time got by... The more we accept, the more they push on us... Indoctrination is what they did on you and did pretty on all the people in the institutions they call educational system, where they lied to us all that the Universe, you and we all included, would've appeared out of nothing and with no cause, thus betraying the very science they preach to serve. And they did such indoctrination beginning with ages we weren't even able to think properly and doubt their knowledge or honesty, let alone having the audacity to challenge their honesty and knowledge. However, the difference between you and l is that while l awake out of their delusion, you still swim in it, most probably because you found a service in pretending that fornication, greed, lie, gossip and perhaps many other sins and issues would be ok, since you deny God, The One Who gave the Ten Commandments...

I became disillusioned with the atheist movement some years back for a number of reasons. One of the main ones was that huge sections of the community started to feel like predominantly straight, "white", cis, men of means turning into a victims group. Worse than that, many seemed like they wanted to keep it as closed off as possible too, as mentioned here. It was like they were more interested in patting eachother on the back for answering one question the same way and acting like it made them radically different people. Another is that in some ways it felt like normalization, assimilation, and the "we're just like you" approach was just not what I was looking for. Name a movement that it's worked for, there really aren't any. Surface level improvements at best. It's why most movements lack teeth and get nowhere in the end. And the thing that killed me the most was terms like "free thinker", "rationalist", "apistevist", "critical thinker", "skeptic", etc, being thrown around like not being religious was all that required, like answering"no" or "I don't know " to the god question meant a person didn't hold tons of other irrational positions and have sacred and off limits topics no different than the religious. I mostly saw so many people who weren't very rational about anything, that didn't think critically at all, that had sacred cows all over the place, that had topics - important topics that they wouldn't even discuss and clung to with blind faith, that lacked anything resembling free thought, and who weren't skeptical of anything but certain myths. Then we started seeing huge chunks lurch right and take on very reactionary positions that were nearly indistinguishable from evangelicals up to and including standing with them over anyone pushing towards equality. The world is big and complicated and I felt like I didn't belong in the movement at all. So I opted for a more holistic approach with the organizing and actions I'd already been doing for years. Even though I don't consider myself to be in the atheist movement like that anymore (I'm still an atheist fighting for all the same things, just a lot more than just those things) it's been great seeing that some people are taking that broader approach. Stay at it, family!

I whole heartedly agree that atheism should not take a 'we're just like you' weak relationship building stance. Atheism should be clear and direct, as you would find from a doctor's prognosis. Atheists need to inform this disillusioned theist that the theist's claim has not met the level of belief required.
@robertdumicz73092 жыл бұрын
Atheism is a belief in multiple senses, while the most insane and anti empirical science is that you believe that the Universe came out of nothing, without a cause and without a creator. Secondly is a dishonest proposition because no one can prove God doesn't exist because nobody is able to check at once all there is, any other eventual dimensions included to acknowledge there is no God and could even less provide the evidence for that. If however someone would be able to perform the aforementioned, he/she would prove the opposite of the intended, omnipresence being not available for people but a godly trait, that person would prove to be God him/herself. But as revealed, since our empirical observation requires a source, a cause and a creator for the Universe as we know it, atheism is a lie, dishonesty or ignorance at best. Because nobody can check all there is at once, one could pretend to be at best agnostic but then again, this by ignoring the empirical observation that everything needs a source and a cause and order, laws, systems, fine tuning, information, language and life do require an intelligent creator and would still have to ignore the sheer amount of all sort of evidence and testimonies. Then atheism also means ignoring the sheer amount of testimonies along the history, the sheer amount of scientific data evidence for creation and a young Solar System and Earth gathered in the last decades and would also mean ignoring multiple pieces of evidence for God of the Bible. So yes, atheism is a belief against empirical observation, against science, against testimonies and against evidence. Atheism is only a dishonest proposition and blinding tool propaganda for those who want to live lose and immoral and intent to fool the others to besmirch themselves too in the same stinky puddle of immoral dirt. Atheism is therefore the worst sort of dishonest and/or ignorant belief and l'd say, taking into account that the eternal life is at risk, the most detrimental and destructive belief, actually delusion. Atheism can't even be named a honest belief, because everyone knows ultimately by own empirical observation that everything needs a source and a cause. But if you or anubody else for that matter, is able to present evidence for something coming out of nothing, please present it.

Be thankful to GOD for all the gifts and for His existence, because otherwise you wouldn't either be there! @@kimsland999 God our Creator and The Creator of the Universe could've create the Universe out of nothing, in which case is a supernatural creation, or out of own energy, known being the fact that energy is matter in another form, so in this case the creation is as we call it, natural. Since we observe that anything has a source and a cause, God is supernatural but necessary according to our empirical knowledge that anything has to have a source and a cause. But since non eternal sources beg the question of their origins forever and push that question back forever, the logical and only possibility is God The Eternal Creator, but since a simple source, even if eternal doesn't sufice because according to our empirical knowledge order doesn't result by hazard out of chaos but a intelligent agent is needed, laws to govern the ordonated Universe have to have a law giver, the information and the language to read that information both found in DNA need intelligence behind, according to our empirical knowledge and life require life to come out of or be created by, no exception known either. So if anyone is able to present the evidence that something comes out of nothing and can ultimately save something from the question of its origins, can also present the evidence that there isn't any cause behind anything and any process, can prove that order, laws, information and language don't need a intelligent agent, then what the seculars propose, even if falsified by the sheer amount of evidence for God and creation, are proven to be natural models, until then, the big bang and abiogenesis/evolution, so the models proposed by seculars, are; Firstly supernatural because the matter of the Universe has no natural source, secondly supernatural because it has no cause, thirdly is supernatural because it has no point in time to take place, fourthly is supernatural because it has no point in space either, since before the apparition of the Universe there wasn't anything, fifthly is supernatural because the order seen in the Universe doesn't appear by itself according to empirical knowledge, sixthly is supernatural because according to our knowledge systems as the Solar System is, need a intelligent creator, seventhly it is supernatural because laws as those which govern the Universe as gravity and laws of physics, chemistry and biology require a law giver, eightly it is supernatural because also according to our empirical knowledge behind every bit of information and behind any language there is intelligence and ninethly is supernatural because only biogenesis is observed, no abiogenesis. I'm so tired of hearing theist with bullcrap ideas and nonsense, how they all know what I think and feel. Anyone who defends religious bs shouldn't be allowed to be social. Why? Because you're defending something that is entirely written by people that lacked much in education, they didn't have info at the palm of their hands like we all do today, and I theist would take the time to actually dig deep into what their pastors tell them, and find our for themselves, what is believed. Like I said, we all are born ignorant to our surroundings. The Bible has had more edits than the whole editing community. Why do you think that is the case? 🤔 hmm! Maybe because we as human beings know there is things in the bible that shouldn't be taught? Why do theist have this idea that they are only trying to save atheist from eternal torment? How about showing love and care to the millions who really need it. Why not work together with the rest of humanity to make sure that when we die, that our grandchildren, great grandchildren, and so on, have less to worry with? Instead, you theist just say "I will pray for you poor African Americans, you poor white trash, Native Americans that had their lands stripped from what their ancestors developed and kept natural for thousands of year for them. But you wanna know what the issue really is? It's all of our fault for not paying attention! Your Bible speaks of the dangers of pride, which I think Christianity is full of that! What will destroy the human species faster than anything else, is the religious people in the US that vote for the person who "says" God first. They hear that, and they never find out anything about the person that is about to shove an "Up yours" rod, straight up your ass! What we need, for the entire world. Is for us to figure out how to eliminate poverty, stop telling the poor "You can be whatever you wanna be, it's up to you." Cause that's not true. A poor man's options are not the same as a wealthy human being. If aomeone put forth a direction to go that would make someone famous, or beyond wealthy. And you have 2 people on that path, 1 poor, 1 rich. The rich person would have little to no pushback. The poor guy would probably struggle out the gate. My point is that the belief in Christianity, Jesus, Yaweah, Muhammed, whatever. Will NEVER FIX THE WORLDS ISSUES! ONLY HUMAN BEINGS THEMSELVES.

I am both an Atheist as well as a 2nd Amendment supporter. I have never been a member of the NRA. I large part because it seemed to me that they took on social issues far outside the scope of our 2nd Amendment. Things in many cases I couldn’t get behind. So this issue of mixing social issues surrounding Atheism with other social issues is one I am wary about. While I support marriage equality and the right to choose, I know many Atheist are anti 2A. And the more social issues you tie to Atheist organizations, the more people you alienate. Focus on Separation of Church and State (Gov and public schools). Work on social acceptance of Atheist. Get rid of bias in courts (parental rights etc). Crack down on discrimination in our military. We have plenty to work on within our own community. You want to support those causes; go as an individual and support the organizations who champion those causes and are passionate about those causes. And if you meet Atheist among them; invite them to join this cause. But do not tie them together.

Matt Dillahunty l challenge you to address each piece of evidence in the following documentary videos l post, until you do address with scientific scrutiny each piece of evidence, God and creation are proven true. I wrote to you in the comments section of one of your previous clips but to no avail, you kept silent, why would it be..? Silence is an answer too, you've lost and God is proven true. You can't evade the empirical known facts, everything needs a source and a ultimate eternal source and cause, order requires an intelligent agent, fine tuning requires a highly skilled and intelligent creator, life require life to come out of, information in DNA and the language to read that information, both found in DNA, require a high intelligence and many known laws are violated by an Universe out of nothing with no cause and no creator. I may name them but l prefere to once more prove creation with scientific data and with quotes of secular scientists, meanwhile to kill your evil-ution-ism in another way, by falsifying the idea of an old Solar System and Universe with the aforementioned pieces of evidence and quotes, with other words to shot two rabbits with a bullet, figuratively writing. Let's begin with proving a young Solar System and creation with a sheer amount of scientific data discovered and received by mostly secular scientists in the last decades, so give a Yt search for; "What you aren't being told about astronomy vol.1" and then 2 and 3 for the Universe and its origins. There along with a sheer amount of data which falsify an old Solar System and big bang idea and reveal creation, you and anyone may read quotes of those secular scientists acknowledging their own ideas falsified by the data received, along with the references and the time stamps of those particular quotes to be able to double check them. Meanwhile creation is again proven true, this time here and for all of you. Also meanwhile evolution is falsified by revealing that the pretended millions and billions of years they claim would sufice that such process could happen, are actually missing from Earth's history. In the near future l might have the pleasure to falsify once more, directly this time, that idea which actually is already revealed to be evil-ution-ism. Someone has yet to bring evidence for a case when something came out of nothing and without a cause and order, systems and information don't require an intelligent creative agent. Until then creation is proven true by empirical observation, logic, common sense and a sheer amount of evidence presented in the afore posted documentary videos. For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance, he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries. @@diablosmda324 In my mind they tend to be tied together, to some extent at least. That's because I tend to see religion as serving a particular purpose that is contingent on material circumstances. Dunno if "evolutionary" would fit the bill, but it's at least a purpose in the sense of promoting group cohesion and stability. The basic idea would be that the more stability and human flourishing you have, the less religion is needed. So when I think about how to get rid of religion, I don't think so much about convincing individuals to change their beliefs, but rather about how to improve their material conditions so that religion isn't all that necessary anymore. Give people job security, a reliable retirement scheme and hope for their children and you're already well underway to minimize the hold religion has on society. To my mind, it's not particularly surprising that the US is the outlier among all industrialised nations in terms of religiosity. It has far fewer social safety nets than the rest, which creates the gap in stability that religion can then fill. Re: the second amendment specifically, I'd just say that a society that feels its citizens needed to be armed, whether that's to stave off tyranny or to protect themselves from criminals, well, that's not a society that has much stability, and therefore it's a society where religion will have a strong hold. That's not to say you should scrap that amendment right now. But if you can't get to a place where citizens no longer feel that amendment is necessary, then you won't get to a place where society can afford to be more secular. So, to me at least, it's not inconsistent to be atheist and pro second amendment, but it would be inconsistent to be an atheist who wants religion to dwindle in his society while at the same time supporting the kind of instability that makes people need religion in the first place.

But if you or anubody else for that matter, is able to present evidence for something coming out of nothing, please present it, out up or shut up and acknowledge your Creator and God and His creation of the Universe true.

For me one key goal would be to stop (to the extent possible) having people indoctrinate, mislead and traumatise their children and others, to teach people how to think critically from a very young age and to make sure they have a decent understanding and appreciation of science. Stopping the religious from infringing on the rights of those outside their religion is important, but it's also important to stop indoctrination and to give people a proper education. Those goals might go hand in hand.
@robertdumicz73092 жыл бұрын

@Shylan Raiff our existence is instinctive. Unless something goes wrong psychologically, we all have an inherent preference for survival - for living. If we want to live - and we do - then we should behave in a manner that most facilitates that desire. Reason has been shown to be the most trustworthy source of beneficial outcomes - outcomes that maximally facilitate life. So if we want to live - then we should use reason.

My answer to this question is: the right to not have to deal with overly religious people who get pandered to while humanity itself falls apart. I'm tired of hearing how much better they are just "because". I want people to become more sceptical and use their brains instead of just falling in line.
@robertdumicz73092 жыл бұрын
Following is falling in line: Let's see where, when and what indoctrination is practiced in institutions which, unlike the churches, are mandatory for children, so no matter wanted or not, by the parents and/or children, they are inoculated with the delusion of the Universe out of nothing...
@robertdumicz73092 жыл бұрын
And that is skeptical, critical and based on empirical observation and evidence thinking: God our Creator and The Creator of the Universe could've create the Universe out of nothing, in which case is a supernatural creation, or out of own energy, known being the fact that energy is matter in another form, so in this case the creation is as we call it, natural. Therefore by rejecting the only logical explanation which The Creator is, because is supernatural, you end up with multiple super-super-super-super-super-super-super-super-supernatural phenomenons.
@mischarowe2 жыл бұрын
@@robertdumicz7309 TLDR. Your entire argument is based on the presupposition of a creator being needed. You cannot demonstrate this. You seem to be neglecting the idea that not supporting these other communities and ideals is also a position. To say "I will not say anything about trans people because that does not support atheism" surrenders that community to a hateful religious majority that becomes stronger for oppressing them. To say "I will not say anything about voting rights, because that does not support atheism" surrenders every disenfranchised voter to a hateful religious majority that becomes stronger for oppressing them. Atheism as a statement of belief is only about not believing in a god, but atheist activism IS going to be a left leaning action by default because atheist activism opposes religious authoritarianism. If the goal of atheist activism is freedom from religious oppression then dismantling the ways in which religion can utilize it's power on marginalized groups isn't mission creep, it's the mission.
@gogroxandurrac2 жыл бұрын
@@Galanthos You agree with Matt, then. Good for you that you agree with the mission creep. If atheism was the point, none of that would matter. The entirety of the atheist question is about god, not religion. Hate Christians and everything they stand for if you want, but that doesn't make it an atheistic point. Call yourself anti-Christian or Humanist, but atheist is a very specific answer to a very specific question. Unless you believe the only possible reason to oppose any of those things is belief in god, in which case you haven't listened to a lot of the arguments they use or tried to actually understand the opposition. Most fall back on god at a basic level, but you'd probably dislike a presuppositional argument being used to dismiss your reasons because your overall worldview is wrong. According to them.

The point of an atheist community isn't just to sit in a room and say "Yup, we sure don't believe in God. This is nice." The point of an atheist community is to take the actions that secure the right for us to continue to be able to say "Yup. We sure don't believe in God. This is nice." There is a difference between being an atheist and the mission of an atheist organization like American Atheist or the Atheist Community of Austin which you seem to be willfully misunderstanding in order to paint the logical actions of an activist organisation as incongruent with their beliefs.
@gogroxandurrac2 жыл бұрын
@@Galanthos My point is that once they branch out into other things, they're no longer a community of atheists. They're a community of humanists or anti-Christians. To address your point, would you consider an atheist community of right-wing atheists that advocated against all of those things still an atheist community? Or would you agree with me that they've left their atheist commonality behind to take a political stand? The ability to say "We sure don't believe in God. This is nice." has nothing to do with your sexuality, preference, color, or anything else political. When you take on the responsibility to make sure anyone can say "We sure are x. This is nice." where x is not atheist, you're not an atheist community anymore. It doesn't matter how many of the new community were/are atheist either. You're agreeing with all of those vapid Christian apologists that atheism is all the ideas of an atheist they can point at. Atheist communities that branch out of atheism while retaining the name of atheist is where their ammunition comes from and why correct arguments that atheism isn't a worldview fall flat. Because "atheist" communities insist on becoming broad-spectrum political agents. Believe what you want, advocate for what you want, but don't pretend that you're still advocating for atheism when you leave the question of god(s) behind.
@Galanthos2 жыл бұрын
An atheist community that opposed gay rights, trans rights, and women's healthcare would still be an atheist activist group, but they'd be great allies to a church that is going to crush them once everyone else is dealt with. I think it would be doing a bad job at actually advocating for Atheists, but they would still be Atheists doing what I would hope they think is best for Atheists to be able to exist and thrive. They would be an atheist community. But the political issue of Atheism is a first amendment issue. It is an advocation for freedom of and freedom from religion, freedom of speech, freedom to privacy, and the ability to pursue life liberty and happiness. Fighting with other groups that can be similarly targeted doesn't take away from fighting for religious freedom. A victory for LGBTQ rights is a victory for Atheism, because the systems that oppress us are the same. A defeat for Women's Healthcare is a defeat for Atheism for the same reasons. A supreme court that will overturn Roe v. Wade is a supreme court that can overturn Torcaso v. Watkins.

Why chastise callers for bringing up topics not directly related to atheism if you want to unify some kind of secular humanist position under the banner of atheism? It makes perfect sense to me if there is a clear through-line from religious imposition on non theistic individuals to discuss those points. But you have consistently stated that atheism holds you to no other view than not being convinced a deity or deities exist. You would recognize that there are atheists who hold vastly differing views on any other given topic. If you want to be entirely consistent in the position you've stated in this video; that circumstances religions may have a 'moral' impact on ought to be included in your mission, so to speak, why not advocate for veganism for instance? Who draws the lines of ethical consideration when it comes to an atheistic agenda? I tend to agree with those you have mentioned within the ACA who are critical of the shift of focus for the Atheist Experience as a formally single serving issue production. Good question. In predicting the physical future good experimental science really ought to prevail. So those religions which make a claim about physics which simply cannot be true should be argued against. Faith is not a good strategy to arrive at physics truths. On the other hand, fables, although not physically possible may well embody a human truth. A common practice (clubs, games, neighbors and religions) can make individuals into a tribe. Tribes can have influence in human affairs exceeding individuals. It is difficult to get upset at the Amish. Low crime rate. They pay taxes but don't generally take advantage of government services funded with those taxes. Extremist Jain's don't harm a fly. I would think that social issues which are driven by reference to Leviticus should be addressed by us atheists. Atheists are not all of the same mind on social issues with no religious overtones, though. Hitchens once fielded an audience question to another panel member : "Where does Evil come from?" "Religion!" interrupted Hitch. We could be well justified in being anti-theist thus anti-Evil fighters.

My moral objections & personal convictions don't allow me to not have to obey the law or not do my job without consequences. My non religious beliefs aren't held sacrosanct & upheld by the courts. Your dedication to truth and logic, your ability to debate others in good faith with honesty and sincerity, your ability to effectively communicate your ideas and your ability to perform rigorous and thoughtful research makes you over-qualified to run for any office you want. That fact that you're also a progressive person is just a bonus for me. I get you probably don't have any desire to be an elected official, and you are correct that your history of advocating for atheism and combating theistic nonsense would severely harm your chances of winning in the USA. But I just take issue with you thinking you're not qualified. You have everything it takes to be a great advocate and political leader. Being an elected official isn't about knowing everything about policy or law making, that's why you have a team of people who work for you. Nobody knows everything. What matters is that you research issues, listen to your constituents and critically think with your team to come up with solutions. The rest comes from experience. If you're not qualified to run for office, literally nobody is.

@Brandon Letzco In the CMB is found an infrared visible structure of the form of a cross, now guess how the secular scientists named it, "the axis of evil", for it proves the Earth to be in the center of the Universe which is evidence for creation and confirming the Bible, for what are the chances for the Earth to find itself by hazzard middle such enormous Universe..? Kind of like 0,0000000000000000000000000001% perhaps..? Alone this piece of evidence proves creation beyond any reasonable doubt. This is another piece of evidence for the special position and wonderful creation by God our Creator and another confirmation of the Bible where it reveals that the earth was created before the other celestial bodies in the Universe. But instead acknowledging it to simbolize the Cross of Christ, they name it the axis of evil, for those sold to the devil the white is black while the black is white... Here the quote of a famous scoffer and secular scientist, none other than Lawrence Krauss after he wrote a book, "A Universe out of nothing" which book found that many poor deluded souls to buy it, that it climbed into the top charts of bestsellers for a while, quote: -"Lawrence Krauss is quoted as follows in a 2006 Edge .org article:[5] But when you look at CMB map, you also see that the structure that is observed, is in fact, in a weird way, correlated with the plane of the earth around the sun. Is this Copernicus coming back to haunt us? That's crazy. We're looking out at the whole universe. There's no way there should be a correlation of structure with our motion of the earth around the sun - the plane of the earth around the sun - the ecliptic. That would say we are truly the center of the universe."-end quote. The title to google for: axis of evil cosmology And again a Yt search: "Dr. Robert Sungenis: Axis of evil" First satellite to survey the CMB sent was COBE in 1990, it discovered the structure in the CMB which reveals the Earth middle of the Universe. @Brandon Letzco I didn't even had to post other evidence than the empirical observed fact that everything has a source and a cause. Therefore as long you don't present the evidence for a case of something coming out of nothing and without a cause, creation is proven true. Secondly if you'd carefully read the evidence in the CMB of the Earth being center of the Universe and/or you'd be honest, you would acknowledge it true. And if you would care to read the quote of that prominent scientist and anti own Creator you would notice that even he himshelf acknowledged the Earth middle of the Universe and even explained what is observed and how it reveals that fact. Furthermore the fact that you ignored the other pieces of evidence reveals you dishonest indeed. God of the Bible and creation are proven true by multiple pieces of evidence which you didn't addressed with scientific scrutiny, neither have you presented any evidence for something out of nothing and without a cause, so i don't even need to post additional evidence, you're chackmated already.

@@SansDeity I admit that I may be biased as a former Christian, but I've remained convinced that a woman's right to choose does not outweigh the bodily autonomy of her child, especially because sex is not necessary for survival, just as eating meat is not necessary for survival. Eating meat comes at an ethical cost just as ending the life of a human for convenience comes at an ethical cost. Legally, our courts have come to a decision that at a certain point (viability outside the womb), abortion should not be permitted. I'm not sure if you would agree this point (which is not a set time, but changes case by case) exists, but it seems to be widely agreed upon if not. It is undeniable that the fetus carries human DNA unique compared to its parents, and the fetus itself is a living entity. I think the argument really comes to the level of personhood required to instill rights on a human being- fetus or a vegetative adult or mentally impaired child, for example. I err on the side of biology, which I believe is core to understanding ethics. A human is a human and it is a biological understanding that humans have certain rights. For me, though an act may create more utility as a result, if the action itself comes at a great ethical cost, it should not be put into law. This is why I believe forced sterilization should not be legal, for example.

@@kimsland999 Kim you have responded thank you 😊 And may I now ask you do you know what Rainbow Body is ? And if you do what are your thoughts on it ?
@kimsland9992 жыл бұрын
@@Tallboyuk1 Buddhist monks have stated they can reach a rainbow body after death by keeping their heart warm. This is against known physics of the dead body. The reason why humans have warm blood and thus heart, is due to the physical motion or pulse or beating of the heart muscle which is actually a pump for our entire blood system. Once the heart stops beating/pumping blood, then clearly the body gets cold quite quickly. Similar to leaving a warm cup of tea on the bench, it's not too long before it goes cold. Thus how could this be reported by Buddhists and others of a warm heart long after the Buddhist is dead. One answer is we are aware through controlled meditation that you can reduce the heart beat down to only a few beats a minute. This was performed by a magician as well. If through meditation a Buddhist did such a thing (And I'd say highly likely since that's the main thing they do is meditate). Then it's quite conceivable that others would test for heart beat (finding seemingly none) and report that the Monk has died (Whilst still sitting in his meditation position). Unbeknownst to this checker person of a heart beat, the Monk is actually not dead! Merely he is in a confirmed state of controlled heart beat reduction (again even a magician has done this too). And thus his heart is still warm due to the extremely light beats or extremely low beats per minute. IF the Monk whilst performing this reduced heart beat (Even over hours) does in fact die! (Clearly unintentionally by a prolonged reduction of heart beats). Then obviously an outsider checker person may mistakenly say: How can his heart be still warm many hours after death? But this is NOT true. The Monk had likely died only a few seconds or a minute earlier. All those hours were merely that controlled meditation reduced heart rate trick. Clearly a heart cannot remain warm long after death! Or even an hour really. Unless! Unless the warm heart was from a person either died seconds before OR they are still alive but in a locked in meditation state of only a few heart beats a second!!! Which is very disturbing as they may mistakenly bury him alive!!!! Coroners make 100% sure a person is dead not merely by no heart beat, but also by no brain activity over a prescribed amount of time (could be 1/2hr at a guess). The people who reported the Monk was dead many hours earlier, clearly aren't modern coroners! All clear now? As you can tell, simple questions may have extremely long answers. I'm happy to continue with further questions, but I prefer the Christain supernatural nonsense stuff, because I've been answering EVERYTHING to do with that for decades now. Pretty confident in that area. There are no new questions in theism, all of them are fully answered by science, reason and common sense!

@@kimsland999 thank you for your response. I was talking more about the mushing of red hot hands into rock and rainbows at funerals when these guys reach the highest level of rainbow body
@kimsland9992 жыл бұрын
@@Tallboyuk1 Oh I don't know about that, but I'd say similar concept if its training your body to not be burnt. I'm thinking of those fire hot coal/stone walkers, but you said hands. Rainbows at funerals though is obviously common, as for one its outside, so people will actually see rainbows more than they would in their home or work. For instance I moved to the country and have seen more rainbows than I did in the city. It can be caused even by the fog lifting from large grassy or grounded areas, and obviously city suburbs don't have thousands of acres of land, more cement! Yes cemetaries exist in the suburbs (and cities) but this phenomona may be more recorded by rural areas or say back to that Tibetin Monk areas, where natural land is supposedly everywhere. Thus you see more rainbows in the country. Plus you have a far reaching 360 degree views in the country, whereas suburbs you may only get 1 direction if that. Mushing of red hot hands into rock? I've just drawn a blank (other than fire walking) BUT I can inform you that everything (other than quantum particles seemingly popping into and out of existence, let alone the phenomona of string theory connecting over vast distances! ) everything comports to the laws of physics. Bodies of people (or horses) don't fly UP and away! As claimed by Christains and Muslims. Nor did the Moon split in 1/2 then rejoin! Nor did above ground water fill the entire Earth in a great flood, of which even China report there was no great flood at the time! Myths and legends AND religous claims all seem to be without any evidence at all. And moreso tends to be jumping to conclusions (guessing) and then believing in their guess! What I mean by all this is that: "mushing of red hot hands into rock" MUST have an answer even if the answer is: That didn't happen like that. For instance crematoriums where a human body (bones and all) are burnt to dust; clearly red hot anything (such as even the Sun, although that's white) clearly burns physical skin after some seconds or minutes. Thus that (unsure?) phenomona must still comport to physics, and may not be exactly as presented. ie People can't smash their hot hands into solid rock! Unless that rock wasn't exactly solid. Even our designed machinery and sledge hammers or iron balls on cranes can't easily go through solid rock, generally solid rock is detonated, then they chip away at it. Skeptism (this entire subject really). STOPS you believing on lack of evidence and reason. IF something seems out of this world phenomona and you don't have a good explanation of how this seemingly extraordinary thing happened, then the answer is to say: I don't know, NOT believing in your guesses, or believe in mere claims of others . So I answered all this without even knowing what the heck hot hands smashing into rocks is LOL
