Julie here, Richard Eklund’s wife. I have had pain and illness all of my life. It has been the greatest gift and real teaching about patience, humility, and not being “in control” of everything; and my spirit is strong because of it. Every day is an “adventure” where I learn who I really am; and that I am not my body, I am more than my body. I live with Joy of being able to simply live each day, knowing that it could end at any time. Illness and severe pain can be teachers, though not everyone has to go through it. It is one’s PERSPECTIVE of what one is going through that makes the difference. Just my thoughts…❤️

For the last 3 years I've ended up in the hospital, once per year. The last time I was 6 days in a coma, with a breathing tube down my throat. I tend to not take things for granted anymore! All in all, I wouldn't change a thing.

I liked when he talked about God being basically love. And that love makes up everything. And that the love he's talking about is so far beyond the love we experience on this earth. That corresponds well with the biblical teachings where it plainly says, "God is love."

@@specialeeffexx it’s not… in fact I don’t usually talk about it; the reason I did so in response to this interview was because it was so distinctively close to my own. I would reach out to you though and ask you not to fear! You honestly have no reason at all to fear death. Just because a conventional religion doesn’t answer your heart’s questions does not mean that spirituality or your spiritual journey is false. Living life in this physical dimension is part of it! Live your life in the pursuit of happiness, be kind, loving, and fair to others always, and know you are loved more than you could imagine!

Something else that seems significant to Sky, was the "Don't Walk" traffic sign for pedestrians. Sky spoke a lot about seeing the sign, the flashing sign versus the non-flashing, and about his thought process with that sign just before the accident. There is messaging here. Sky said when the sign started flashing, he thought something like "not this time" after stepping, and then stepped back. I think this "Don't Walk" is also a multi-meaning perceptual symbol. If Sky had not stepped back, would he have had that first NDE or would it have been an actual death to his person? Then post-accident Sky was in a wheelchair. Then at some point during the end of the NDE he describes his thoughts during which he turned his head and sees the actual "Don't Walk" sign to his left. That's about as in your face as it gets, especially when Sky learns later the sign pole itself had fallen on him.

Made it! Thanks Heather and Sky for an interesting and thought provoking discussion! I still really struggle to wrap my head around the concepts of a pre-birth plan. I also don't believe it's my ego preventing me from grasping the principals. Firstly I don't believe you need to experience suffering first hand in order to grow or evolve through the suffering. As a human we are able to employ the gift of empathy. If we really listen and try to understand another's lived experience this helps us to connect and support others during or after hardship. I do not need to personally suffer physical or sexual abuse in order to know this would be a terribly unbearable experience. Why would a spirit choose to have a human experience that is full of endless suffering just to have the experience? Also why would a loving God allow someone to come to earth and commit horrendous acts of violence? It makes no sense that a spirit/soul would want to choose an experience of inflicting pain and suffering on another. For me it can only be justified by believing that life is simply full of random events.

Made it (of course!) Very interesting discussion...I do recall being sort of "mind-blown" when I first read the second of Bob Monroe's books, "Far Journeys", where he talked about his various incarnations...What challenged my "world view" at that time (35 years ago) was how his various lifetimes skipped around on what seems to be our culturally, and historically-accepted timeline; it made intuitive sense to me, but when I tried to describe this (Bob Monroe's various lives) to my Mom (a fairly recent, at that time, practitioner of Zen Buddhism), she said that was "wrong"; apparently, they only accepted a one-timeline view of reality...It's one reason I never took up that particular practice, though I respect/resonate w/ "mindfulness/meditation" (I try to practice this)...Since then, my worldview (and that of "reincarnation") has taken a different direction...Too much to get into here... Thanks again, Sky and Heather; I'll be sure to catch Part 3!

Interesting! I recently changed my view on reincarnation and other stuff after reading a book! Drastically! I’d love to hear your new perspective! I’m waffling after watching this video! I read Bob’s books many years ago and was led to Tom Campbell’s Theory of Everything! Some teacher taught me that time on Earth is linear but elsewhere everything is happening at the same time! Every that’s ever happened or ever will is happening now!

@craigmclean8260
@craigmclean8260 6 ай бұрын
My worldview has changed gradually over time, w/ occasional "leaps" of new understanding. I did begin to read Dr. Campbell's book some years ago, but found it "way beyond" my capacity to understand (plus, for me, "Theories of Everything" make me nervous!) I was more interested in how he and Bob Monroe got together in the early days of TMI (Tom was one of the original "Explorer Team", along w/ Rosalind McKnight--"Cosmic Journeys"). As far as "waffling", while considering new ideas, I'd just "sit with" them; see if they feel intuitively "right" to you. Part of my current worldview is the concept of "simultaneous time", as well as the idea that I may be a projection of a larger, "Entity Self" (or God, All That Is), and may have multiple "counterpart selves" in this, as well as other, realities (including non-physical). This "works for me"; I'm still exploring, of course... Anyway, thanks for asking!

The perfect interviewer (doesnt interupt), and the perfect guest -super deep/detailed/philosophical. Awesome riveting subject matter. I wonder if he saw present/past/future all at once during his accident. Experience equals learning/growth. I dont believe in reincarnation, though. One life/one choice (freewill), to chose and follow Jesus Christ or not: to serve self, or serve others. To bless or curse, and we reap what we sow..

Made Part 1 and Pt 2. Imagine that we all live on the otherside in constant love, peace and bliss. That is all we know. Then how would we understand anything unless we experienced it? Hence, the tough 3D school of learning. 😅 Aggg noooo. I still berate myself. Why would I choose to experience all the abuse and suffering I have, when I could have chosen to live a perfect life? Haha. Which is what we were doing on the otherside. Existing in a state of love, peace and bliss. This is a theatre school. We are acting a part, in a grand big play, where we all have a role to play. Imagine a play with only yourself in it? 😅 Or imagine reading a book in the akashic hall of records about falling in love with another person, but you could not fathom what that could feel like. You could sit and intellectualise what it felt like, but you would never know unless you experienced it. That feeling of falling in human love is wonderful. It does wear off after a while though. Or what would it taste like to pick a fresh ripe juicy orange off a tree and eat it? You could read about it but you would never know unless you experienced it. These are simple examples. I am picturing Sky talking to Source and his spiritual team. Organising his incarnation as Sky. Remember that would be in a place of love, peace and bliss on the other side where everything may seem easy. I'm picturing Sky saying that he is up for a human, physical 3D earth school experience, and that there is no way he will forget that the otherside exists. He will know Source, love peace and bliss, and his spiritual team when he incarnates. And then boom. He incarnates and goes through the veil of forgetfulness. And becomes an extreme militant atheist. 😅 The total opposite. He needed a few exleriences to wake him up. Maybe, his spiritual team had to wake Sky up at two potential exit points of his life which were the two nde's. He had to tatoo LOVE on his arm to remind himself of where he is really from. In his 1st nde, he saw himself biolocating out of his body talking to someone. At the same time hus physical body was flying through the air which he was aware of. And he was up in the corner even though there wasnt a corner, observing himself flying through the air. While all this was goingcon in split seconds the being that was talking Sky out of his body said "it is not your time. You have important work to do." I'm paraphrasing. And Sky asked what that was? What imporyant work did he have to do? The being said that Sky would know when the time was right. Then he was put down on the ground, like a feather, despite having being smashed into by a car. Sky had the alcohol poisoning that caused him to fall to the ground and he was projected out of his body into a dark tunnel of knowledge so to speak, going towards a light. His partner said: I love you, I am not angry with you. " over and over. It seems the word love was the key. In this possible exit point, it was really time for Sky to wake up. It took time, but now look at how Sky and how he has changed his life, and is teaching. It is his time. His role in the play has kick started, which is to help wake others up. It is very important work. Sky went from one extreme to the other. From a militant atheist to a person who now believes in more than just our physical bodies. Maybe he chose to come in and be a militant atheist, to test himself to wake up, and be a belligerent alcoholic. He had to choose an extreme experience otherwise it would be too easy here on earth school. Jokes aside, alcholism is a seriously harmful disease. I am so glad Sky is no longer drinking. 🙏 I am a survivor of abuse by my ex narcisstic partner. He physically attacked me. What is the experience I wanted to learn from all that? Or is it to understand abuse and be able to help and support other people who have gone though this? If I had not experienced abuse, how would I know what it is? And helping others. I had to lesrn many things. Love, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, self live, self care, extreme suffering and pain, and recovering from a soul wound. I contemplated my exit point, but struggled onwards to get better. I did believe in Source, but boy, was I tested. I nearly lost all my faith and my belief. I was tested to the extreme imo. There were days I was numb. So yes, earth school is very tough. I am a survivor and thriver. Is my life perfect yet? No. I moved countries. Studied a new language. My life doesn't look anything like it did in my old life. It is so weird. Wishing Sky well. Love and light to all earth warriors down here. 🤗🌎🌍🌏🧭💪 What is the key.. 🗝️ love 💗

I know I actually felt his power thru my body years ago, heard his voice also. He sounds like rushing water and Thunder mixed ❤️🙏💯. He said. Christ is coming soon, heard it several times. Then I heard crash of lightening before he left. He was warning me. That I was headed down the wrong road. He shook me up. I got Baptized back in 1990. Have had visions, dreams, and shown some things by a Spiritual messenger. Ie The Lambs book of Life. Heaven, etc etc etc. Jesus Christs voice is so soft, gentle, and caring. ❤️🙏. I testify these things to be true in the name of Jesus Christ my Savior. Take care God bless Amen ❤️🙏💯👋👋

So when I was in college I worked in an Emergency Room. One evening I ate dinner with one of the Doctors. He told me about a patient that he treated who had arrested on the OR table and was successfully resuscitated. Several days later during rounds the Pt told the doctor about his NDE. He was elevated above the OR and witnessed the resuscitation, he asked if the doctor could do him a favor, their was a seven digit number in his head, that he could not stop thinking about, he saw it on the top of one of the OR lamps. He wanted to know if the number was actually there on the top of the OR lamp. The doctor told me that he went and retrieved a ladder and climbed up above the OR lamps and sure enough it was the serial number on one of the lamps. Since that time I have been fascinated with NDE’s. My religious tradition is Lutheran and we are a pretty open minded community. I find nothing contradictory to our beliefs (unless you love the idea of hell, and I’m not denying the existence of such a state, but I truly believe that only you can send yourself there). God is love, and I find it fascinating that through His consciousness, all things are created, and back to His consciousness we will return someday. Something he said is extremely profound, that the Love he felt was like the Holy Spirit. Well that is the definition of the Holy Spirit, the Love that the Father has for the Son and the Love that the Son has for the Father. The Son is the Christ, God incarnate in creation as a human at a certain time in history, in a sense part of the message is that God is present with us all, all the time. Not having a Christian background, he touches on many profound theological ideas. I’m still in medicine and see a lot of death and suffering, maybe it’s the telling of these experiences that allow me to believe solidly in the promises from our tradition. I believe that many of the visions, and experiences of the Saints, were in fact NDE type events. ❤️

The irony of knowing there's such a love leaves me in such dissonance in that I feel like there is no way I am worthy of God's love but know that I am worthy because his love is real. If that doesn't humble a man, I don't know what does. How amazing to consider what awaits us beyond this life.

I've been watching accounts of NDE's nearly nightly for the past three years. I have to say, this gentleman has a wonderful way with words. I realize he's trying so hard to express with human words an experience for which there are no words. But he really does a fantastic job of painting pictures and offering visceral ideas of what his experience was like. Thank you, sir.

Wow, what an amazing talk! I really enjoyed watching both parts and can't wait for part 3. Thank you for being such an amazing host, letting your guest talk and asking them questions that we all have had for years but couldn't find answers to. Your question about suffering and Sky's answer was truly inspiring and gave me a new perspective, as if it lifted a heavy weight off my shoulders. For many years, I've been suffering because of other people's suffering, experiencing severe depression and even suicidal thoughts, and giving up on my own life and dreams. Actually, the main source of suffering in my life didn't come from my own experiences; it's been witnessing suffering in the world and feeling powerless to alleviate it or look away. In some cases, the people I suffered for moved on with their lives while I remained stuck in my dark moods. There's a fine line between being empathetic, compassionate, and understanding on one side and immersing yourself in other people's stories and choices and making yourself miserable for no good reason, on the other side. I always lived by the principle of putting yourself in other people's shoes and trying to understand how they feel, but it became overwhelming. The question, "Who are you to decide what's right or wrong for other people?" is totally liberating. I still strive to be kind, compassionate, and caring while maintaining my own sanity and living my own life! I discovered your channel today, and it was the first episode I watched. I'm looking forward to watching more and more of your awesome videos. Please keep asking great questions of your guests. It's always beneficial to gain different perspectives and expand our awareness. Thank you so much! 🙏🧡

I love to hear experiencers with more of a science background speak on their NDE's because they seem to have a better, maybe not better, but a more comprehensive and articulate way of explaining consciousness. But I'm grateful for everyone that shares their unique NDE because it adds more pieces to the puzzle. I love how Sky explains how although we are taking in information from all around us, we still only have this very small human perspective. Like as Anita Moorjani explains it, like shining a flashlight into a huge dark warehouse - you only can focus and see clearly one small area at a time, which gives you a limited view of everything thats actually in there.

Early on in this talk and listening to the three perspecitives thing it makes me think of certain incidents reported on in the book The Autobiography of a Yogi; the Yogis who could be in two places at once. A continuing fascinating talk; great stuff! And now coming near to the end of this talk this reminds me of a report I read of a child coming near to end of his life and this child being much more philosophical and understanding of the natural order of things than his parents.

Firstly, I think that Sky chose a life where he would accept the challenge of seeing how many people could and would follow a philosophy that required not missing a word he said, no matter how and where he took those thoughts!! LOL! Such an inherently sweet man, who reminds me SO much of my ex-husband (we did not divorce, but separated amicably, so he could go back to England--where I'd met him during the 13 years I lived there.) My husband spoke spoke so similarly to Sky---wanting desperately for people to follow his long and complex explanations of the world!! I am enjoying every word (and example----how he can so fluidly take a conversation in any direction and come to a conclusion! (I still don't think I can ever follow any reasoning that, say, millions of Jews and many others sought to experience a Holocaust. And that is always the problem for me, even when his reasoning fits so many other situations!) I feel like my dear ex-husband is being interviewed by you, when Sky is so--almost poignantly--wanting us to understand his meaning. .LOLOL! And I DO understand him and am riveted to everything he says. I look forward to Part 3. Thank you Heather!

Made it! Sky, himself, set himself up to get the MOST from his NDE experiences by FIRST, being the militant atheist, that would THEN have these NDE experiences, so he could see the clear distinctions, that he so clearly and intelligently explains. I read in a NDE book about a woman who's child dies shortly after being born and then she later has an NDE and meets the child on the other side and the child reminds her that they had an agreement for this to happen so she could experience great loss. GREAT interview, BTW!

In general, we simply do not remember, prior to having taken on a 3 dimensional body, Being 3 dimensional is extremely limiting, however it allows us to experience emotional interactions with others, which force us to grow in spiritual directions, which most likely are unavailable to those who have never been 3 dimensional. In 3 dimensional bodies we suffer from feelings of separation, which oddly teach us experientially, what we could never imagine from the standpoint of oneness, or wholeness. Stars are best discerned from the lonely isolation of experiential depths, not from the illuminated and ecstatic mountain tops.

As for suffering - what differentiation is there amid a constant where suffering doesn't exist? There would be no parameter to compare to in terms of happiness, joy, fulfillment, peace, love, etc. if all there was was a lack of trial, tribulation and suffering. We understand that love is love because there is also hate as its antithesis. We know there is peace because we experience war. We know there is joy because we experience despondency. Suffering is the tenet that allows us to seek, respect and conquer those things aside from it. Like man is to God, suffering is but a constituent of the sum total of consciousness that embodies God. Every equation is comprised of its moving parts mechanism. Without suffering and emotion all there would be is peace, perfection and unconditional love the likes of which only God himself can embody. Because we comprise a low vibration then we are a distance from God's perfection. Each echelon of our journey brings us closer to God and, in turn, further from a necessity of suffering.

For me, it was one of the best NDE talks and to think I was almost going to pass on part 1, but something told me to watch it and I'm really happy I did! Everything he said was spot on and was actually a pleasure to listen to because he had a different way of expressing his thoughts on the NDE. I especially liked the fact that it wasn't so much the NDE that was important but the after effect and the understanding he gained from allowing the NDE to simmer for some years until he was ready to have the 2nd one that would open him up. A very interesting talk. I'm now looking forward to hearing Part 3.

Science is a method of looking into the imminent world born of alchemical philosophies. As light descends into the form of matter it folds the waves into particles or atoms, the smallest organisms or vessels of consciousness. The love of God penetrates the world and casts all into form. A love so complete, so profound and infinite. When you live from your heart you see that love, when your live through your mind you see the forms but not the love, the relationship and connection. Simply being still, disengaging with thoughts and just feeling and breathing in what is now. Everything is here to help you, you are surrounded by love supporting you in having the experiences you came here to have. This also includes other cast members in this co-creation, the actor behind the characters we see are part of the production, which is directed by Love

Remember ALWAYS this process is all about YOU!!! Not him. He is just a catalyst. Consider, he may be your twin flame. Look into that. After he initiated your trauma, you're now left to heal all that comes up. Major advice!!! Listen closely!!! NEVER ever CHASE HIM. He will run further and you will lose yourself more. You are the feminine. You are the divine goddess. You just, be and approve who comes along. It's a yes: you meet my requirements, or: a no, you do not. Be clear on whom you're accepting as a partner and DO NOT settle for less (or you just delay what's meant for you). Accept your struggle, anxiety, fear, sadness. Whatever comes up. It's all human, and in need of your attention. If you push it away, block it, or run from it... You will just have to deal with it later...

I am learning these things like the rest of you, but I think of frequency, vibration and energy as the same. If we are loving and kind we have a higher frequency and faster vibration. If we are hurtful and cruel that is a lower frequency. As we all learn to become more loving we can raise the vibration of the planet. I hope that helps. Best wishes!

Oh, your analogy of not driving the car is good too!

Parts one and two down, part three to go. Because of life circumstances I've been listening to quite a few of these NDE experiences of late, but I have to say Sky's has by far resonated the closest with me and made the most impact. I find his story very comforting, educational but just downright fascinating. The good Karma from this will be wide-reaching, I feel.

The part I don’t understand about returning to this Earth to experience difference things is this - How can I learn to be a better soul if I can’t remember my precious lives during the current one?! I can’t knowingly make different/better decisions if I can’t remember the ones I made in my last life. I don’t see how anyone would WANT to come back. Dying doesn’t scare me. Having to live in a body again terrifies me.

Just my opinion but I think once you learn a lesson you don’t have to go back to that lesson and you move on. I think it becomes part of our subconscious essence. So we keep improving and raising our vibrations through various lifetimes. I’ve heard only the bravest souls take on tough lives so if life is hard you are one of the brave ones. Next time you will have options to choose your life here or elsewhere and you can always go for an easy life. I think you’ll have a new perspective on the other side. Sending love and best wishes Chery

This guy is such a good communicator! My thought is that we don't need to live every life in order to "know" the various experiences. When we watch biographical movies, we can feel the experiences as the actors perform their roles. Maybe this kind of vicarious experiencing is available in the spiritual realms? We just need to develop our sense of empathy, our sense of oneness. I'll share this part of the writings of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet of the Baha'i Faith, which addresses this sense of oneness: O CHILDREN OF MEN! Know ye not why We created you all from the same dust? That no one should exalt himself over the other. Ponder at all times in your hearts how ye were created. Since We have created you all from one same substance it is incumbent on you to be even as one soul, to walk with the same feet, eat with the same mouth and dwell in the same land, that from your inmost being, by your deeds and actions, the signs of oneness and the essence of detachment may be made manifest. Such is My counsel to you, O concourse of light! Heed ye this counsel that ye may obtain the fruit of holiness from the tree of wondrous glory.

Physicists tell us that matter is 99.999999999% empty space and what little matter remains is not matter at all! - it, sub-atomic particles, is but 'frozen energy'. The world we interpret second hand; eye to brain, via electrical conduit, same with the other senses. Einstein had a lot to say about God and Schrodinger once said, "The total number of minds in the universe is one."

William James, an early American psychologist, described an experience of a threefold awareness that scared him one night. I think it woke him from sleep and was just there. I wish I could tell you the name of the book . It was in a biography about him I read years ago. He was a deep thinker.

I’m am totally in agreement with what he’s saying/describing. For the first time someone put into words what I felt my whole life but I wasn’t able to convey it bc I felt I’d be ostracized.
