Before the Turkish invasion the whole Asia Minor what you called now Turkey was inhabited by populations that were originating from what is known today as mainland Greece, populations of Pelasgian origin like the Lydians, the Carians, the Lycians etc. Populations of Thracian origin like the Phrygians, the Dardani and others and of course of Hellenic origin like the Ionians, Aeolians, Dorians etc.
