Athens, Greece - the Athens Flea Market at Monastiraki in Athens, Greece. Shopping in Athens is a favorite pastime for tourists and Athenians and one of the best places to buy just about anything is the Flea Market at Monastiraki. The Athens Flea Market at Monastiraki becomes a flea market on Sundays when some of the stores close and people bring tables and carpets and sell all kinds of stuff from junk to antiques. The rest of the week, The Athens Flea Market at Monastiraki is more like a small bazaar. Most of the shops at The Athens Flea Market at Monastiraki are pretty conventional and sell the same stuff you find in the tourist shops on the islands, some of it made in Greece and some made in China. There are good jewelry stores at the Athens Flea Market at Monastiraki with handmade gold and silver pieces and fake jewelry stores with "handmade" gold and silver pieces, and most people won't be able to tell the difference.

when you are close to acropolis (parthenon) you can feel the energy of the ancient greece in your body and soul... i am from athens but when i get close to acropolis i feel always perfect!

how can you visit all these counties?> i mean what is your job? how you pay? where you stay when you visit a country? why don't you stay more in these countries?

mitropoulosilias I am on a 455 day world tour and in the beginning I stay in every country around 9 days, later on I will be staying over 2 weeks per country.. I have taken two years off from work (I am a lawyer) and so far I am enjoying everything (I am on day 24 out 455)..

The only spot in athens that is clean all the shops sell the same stuff and all the restaurants sell the same food.The rest of athens is dirty and spraypainted .
