That’s true thank you Brett my wife and I have been married 40 years and still have a hard time in so many areas but we realize we’re in a spiritual battle and when we pray and resist the devil, it helps us to forgive and it calms down the whole situation And we carry on learning to love the way Christ loves. God bless you all.

Thank you for saying what you did about abuse- and I agree. Some people in my life have told me my husband is emotionally abusive… and I’ve not known what to think about it. Although he’s been the angriest person I’ve personally known… it’s also SUPER obvious to me that God is doing a work on his heart. Being in this has also pushed me closer in my own relationship to God.

It was super encouraging that he brought up those who choose to stay single because they have same-sex attraction. I’m in my late-40’s, have had same-sex attraction since I was very very young, I believe homosexuality is indeed a sin. Even after 3 decades of walking with the Lord, it sometimes gets discouraging. There are many people like me, who I have known, who have eventually married opposite-sex partners and have children, and Ive often thought, “What about me? I have no desire to marry, did the Lord forget me?” Brett puts it all on very clear terms here, and I feel very encouraged. Thanks, Pastor Brett. ❤

I’m in trouble. I had no premarital relations with the man I married. We were married by our Pastor. I stayed for 12 years. There is something no one talks about. A wife is to obey her husband, I didn’t know so I did with trust and love and hope. The thing not said, i can’t tell. I’m sick I know. Some call it a fetus. i felt degraded and ashamed, still do. I divorced, I got out. Yes, I went to counseling for a year, telling her what was going on. He refused counseling. I’m a horrible sinner in so many ways. But 23 years ago I repented and I’ve lived a whole new way. I pray daily God will fforgive me my past, I stayed aand I know things I feel certain only a small portion of the world knows. Yes, I remarried and my husband is wonderful. We were gifted with the most loving child, raised her in the church, and held her as she seizure to death in our arms with all drugs failing her. We live a life now telling others of the bible and praying we obtain heaven, our beloved beautiful child is there in the bosom of Abraham. God forgive me, I’m divorced.

"Beloved. My heart was so moved with compassion for the comment you wrote. You would be greatly comforted if you would pick up your Bible and read so that you understand that God loves a broken and contrite spirit not the religious words or actions of the day. Press in seek him and He will be found. Jeremiah 9:23-24 talks of the importance of knowing and understanding God and he tells who he really is ! There are so many promises and blessings wisdom and power to lift you up &warnings of the pitfalls we can fall into on this earth. But thanks be to God for his unending mercy and when Jesus paid for it all over 2000 years ago for all of humanity he knew then what we all are like. You have not committed the unforgivable sin because you still desire to be filled with HIS peace and salvation. Beware of false church doctrines Traditions which we cannot keep. James says that if we keep the whole law yet stumble in one point we are guilty of all. You ask who can be saved? Well Jesus said with GOD ALL THINGS ARE possible! Oh read your Bible continue to seek him and ask for his peace. Be like David who God said he was a man after his own heart because David never blamed or excused himself but said I have sinned against you alone o Lord. Final note. God did not take your child as punishment for the first one, the enemy satan did that! "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5 He gives good gifts to us right. Does not the sun come up every day and the wind blow and he rains on the just and unjust? Yes. He is the Almighty Father! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:17 "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;" Psalms 103:3 "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." Psalms 103:12 "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Romans 8:34 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." John 8:11 "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" 1 John 5:5 "All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death." 1 John 5:17 Stop repenting of the same sins over and o er and believe he really forgave them once and for all and do not return to the vomit. You will find that if you will renew your mind through the word you will have the true peace that surpasses all understanding amen

I couldn't have stayed married. My husband was insane and was going to kill me and our two babies. He was buying funeral arrangements and beating me repeatedly. God even protected me from his blows. I slept with my bible and prayed for answers, because I took my vows seriously. I stayed in my marriage for 9yrs. When I left my children were 2 and 3. I was a good wife and mother. He was a sick person that I prayed for for many years. I never remarried. I was his second wife and he would say to me I would never be his wife in God's name. My daughter has now been married for 15yrs. She always turn to her pastor when times get hard. I'm so proud of her. God showed me an out on my marriage.

I know how betrayed and back stabbed you feel, when you love and trust someone and find them untrustworthy; it's the only condition God has for divorce. You can forgive, but if seeing them is too painful, then no. God okd your divorce, so you don't have to feel bad. Bless you. I hope your life is wonderful.
@mbwilson8592 Жыл бұрын
I would pray about that. I have people in my past who I have forgiven but they're not healthy to let back in. A very helpful quote: "forgiveness doesn't have to mean reconciliation."

You can forgive her but it doesn't mean that you have to have her in your life. God only says to forgive the people who hurt us. Not make them a part of our lives. God bless

1st Corinthians 6:9-10 Paul is listing sins that will keep one from inheriting the kingdom of God. Now I don't believe the Bible is saying if you have committed one or all of these sins that this will prevent a believer from inheriting the kingdom of God. But what Paul is stating is if one is living a lifestyle of sin, (perpetual unrepentant sin) ongoing sin, that yes you will not inherit the kingdom of God. If Jesus is stating that remarriage after divorce is ongoing sin of adultery, then yes I believe that the Bible is saying that this will keep a believer from inheriting the kingdom of God?
@mbwilson8592 Жыл бұрын
No, because the decision/action to divorce the initial spouse can be repented of and forgiven once and for all. It doesn't make sense how divorcing the current/new spouse would correct anything, as that would be committing the same sin again. Mike Winger has a thorough study on this topic. Highly recommend
@KetoMama777 Жыл бұрын
Why did God say do not be un equally yoked. Because if you are both Christian its life long. If you are not you will divorce.

@@mbwilson8592 (Romans 7:2-3 For a woman which hath a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as her husband liveth, but if her husband be dead she is loosed from that law, so then if while her (HUSBAND) liveth, she married to another man she shall be called an adulteress, but if her husband be dead she is loosed from that law, so that she is no adulteress though she be married to another man). PLEASE NOTE THE SCRIPTURES CAREFULLY WHERE IT SAYS HER HUSBAND, DENOTING THAT SHE IS STILL HER HUSBAND, EVEN THOUGH SHE IS MARRIED TO ANOTHER MAN? It matters not what you or I or Mike winger says, only what the Holy scriptures teaches! You will not find one case in Holy scripture where God approves of remarriage after divorce while a covenant spouse is still alive, not one? Blessings to you.

If you study carefully carefully Matthew 5:32 & 19:9, the supposed exception clauses, you will note in the KJV the word fornication not adultery. This is speaking expressly to the Jews during the betrothal period. If a betrothed wife was found to have committed fornication, the betrothed husband could divorce her. Just as Joseph was going to put Mary away for Fornication. For a true Child of God divorce and remarriage is not allowed!

Pray and read your Bible. Ask God to keep your eyes and thoughts from sinning. Stay away from anything that causes you temptation. While you are living a single life, you will have an easier time focusing on the things of the Lord and not all of the distractions that come with marriage.
