Through the Bible | Ezekiel 37 - Brett Meador

As the Jews are on the brink of being scattered worldwide, Ezekiel gives a prophecy concerning the future time when they would be regathered in the land and then joined to Jesus during the coming Millennial Kingdom. As we see the dry bones connect and the branches graft together in Ezekiel 37, we see Israel coming to life again in prophecy already fulfilled and still to happen.

It’s so amazing when you hear theologians and scholars of the Bible teach the opposite of what God says in his word. Brett, I disagree regarding the relationship of Jesus and Hebrew. The notion that Hebrew was all but forgotten following the Babylonian exile doesn’t measure up in light of two observable things:1) that it is Israel’s spoken tongue today after a much longer exile…2,000 years (as opposed to 70), and that the Dead Sea Scrolls, which are roughly contemporary with Jesus, were written in Hebrew (including the sect’s own literature, not just the books of the Bible). In light of the above, I think Jesus and his generation likely knew and spoke both Hebrew and Aramaic. But that’s just my opinion.

Right, in Acts 22:2, Paul speaks to the crowd in Hebrew. Some translations say Aramaic, but most say Hebrew.

You keep talking about the Jews, but aren’t they just two tribes (Judah and Levi) of Israel? Are there not 10 other tribes that are in the diaspora? Ephraim and Manasseh are Joseph, the double portion. Perhaps we Christians are part of Ephraim and Manasseh, and therefore part of Israel (being a son of Jacob/Israel), and the regathering is not just for the Jews, but ALL Israel, all of Jacob’s descendants (either literally or grafted in spiritually)? Also, could life in the dry bones be the resurrection of the dead? Literal resurrection, where we are changed into our resurrected bodies and reign with Christ for the millennium?

The Jeremiah 31 new covenant is with the house of Judah and the house of “Israel”, Jesus came for the lost sheep of the house of “Israel”, we are grafted into “Israel” as believers. There is no covenant with “Gentiles”?

Pastor, I have been following you, and you're teaching for a while now. I liked how you taught, but will stop today! You gave an exhortation on the church being raptured before the tribulation. Interesting, it's not a new concept and a lot of people want to believe we will not go through the tribulation. But I want to see your study of this idea based on scripture. You spoke only with your opinion... your theory. I didn't hear you quote or read one verse to support your theory. Sorry, I disagree with you based on verses in Daniel, Mathew, Thessalonians, and Revelation. But it's ok. You have a right to your opinions and theories. It is a free world. The problem is that when it all begins to happen and the church is not raptured as you say, will the people be prepared?

The church has to be prepared till the bridegroom comes for us. No matter when! If He comes before or in the middle or at the end …. we have to be prepared and waiting! I can be dead the next hour so all these options will not be applied anymore. So, we have to be wise and have oil for the candles and wait for Him. He loves us - the bride! I am a pre tribulations believer, but I trust Him, and that He will take care of us and will give us wisdom and strength Be blessed in the name of Jesus !
