As someone who just came back to siege for the first time since 2018 and who used to be mainly plat (season 1 and 2 diamond lol), silver and gold are actually no joke. The aim in silver is completely different than it used to be. People are actually decent aimers now in silver. I just feel like the biggest thing holding them back is game knowledge and the fact that some of them are silver because of their attitude. A lot have zero desire to use a mic or work with a random. A bad attitude and a lack of hours/game knowledge keeps them in gold/silver while their aim could be good enough for a much higher rank. I've seen some downright nasty shots in silver/gold this season that would have been impressive in Plat 1 back in 2018. Game's changed a lot though.

yup game knowledge is worth sm more, im diamond with a 1.4kd rn, my aim is mid at best but if u just play smart and slow when u need to u can hit the highest rank without god like aim

i’m in the same boat. started playing again about when u commented this (3-4 months ago) and i’ve made it to gold so far. kids are nasty and i’ve forgotten most of the maps/ they’ve been reworked so it’s a tough grind

See, my problem is I have utterly garbage aim. It’s so tough being that dude who has the extensive game knowledge but usually has a terrible KD. When I say bad I can have a massive drop on someone and just get absolutely flicked on. Sometimes I have god aim but hundreds of hours in range and it still hasn’t gotten consistent. I have to watch these other randos not respect my advice (being a bad shot means “you suck I’m not listening to you”) and watch them throw an easily winnable game if they’d just listen and not peak/not barricade certain spots/throw bodies on defense when you have man advantage/stay on cams when others are dead and can watch them/red ping… ya know, the thousands of dumb ass shit people do for no reason. If I had the aim I could be plat easy, with my inconsistent aim I am happy to get into silver, maybe I’ll hit gold. I get dropped from groups for my 0.6 KD even though my win rate is 1.7 because I always give good call outs, play bomb well and set up site smartly when the teammates don’t grief it lol.

I always played CS my entire life and what i find most difficult to understand in siege is the peoples mentality on attack, i see lot of people just entering the building on the last 20 seconds of the round, is crazy...

You don't need anybody to tell you this, but when youre ADSing an angle, lead your reticle so youre not having to correct yourself when someone walks in. So at 16:04 for example, lead your reticle a little farther to the left. Btw, I had scrambled eggs and crumbled sausage for breakfast with an orange on the side

Good tactic on lower elo, but above plat, theres so many quickpeeking going on, you just have to prefire the frame of the door right after they peek. if you aim more to the left, you have to correct yourself 🤗

1# Rule of Solo Queue: Never blame your team for a lost Round or Match. Unless they actively griefed or TK'd, there's usually at least ONE choice you could have made that would've turned the tide. Ex: Was playing Kapkan in QP, and we were 3v2. I was above Open Area Obj, and thought I'd come down to back up my team. Now, I came down Elevator Stairs, which A, put me behind my teammates, and B, had me downed by a Brava'd Kapkan trap. Embarrassing. The two attackers were hunkered in cafeteria, and we couldn't get an angle. They planted, and then killed us. What I SHOULD have done, is gone to Square, and flanked them. Even if I didn't know exactly where they were, I knew where my teammates were. We still might have lost if they had drones or flank watch. But bottom line is, I made a bad play with the info I had, and we lost the round.
