Another thing for low-mid ranks: you need to be making decisions much faster, whenever you watch these ranks play you can see points where it's clear they could have made a decision 5 seconds to a minute faster. Two main examples being: 1.) The "pub push syndrome" from Team Fortress 2 where you stand around twiddling your thumbs and staring at air for the entire round until the announcer says 10 seconds are left and realize "oh shit, I need to do something", leading you to being rushed to make a play and dying since you're scrambling. 2.) You're indecisive when you're low on time, not committing to getting frags or getting case planted- subsequently doing nothing and inadvertently giving a freebie round to the other team through time outs.

Honestly the best way to play (and the funnest) is to not care about the win or rank. I hate making mistakes I know I could've avoided. But If I create a plan, execute it, and try my best then I'm having fun. Then it's about taking mental notes about my fk ups so I can work on it the next game. Suddenly you're a couple divisions higher than you were.
