I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and literally at work holding back tears because y’all touched topics my home church talks about but there is no consistency since there is no evidence of it. Excited to watch every single episode from the beginning! Blessings Pastor John and Lisa, you’ve been a blessing to my life. God bless you guys and your family. Thank you Addison and Julie you guys breathed hope into me. 🥹🕊️🙏🏼

THANK YOU John and Lisa for being a committed couple for over 40 years (wow). For me its so important to see how you really interact with each other. To me its soooo important to see long committed couples still show kindness, respect, trust, adoration for each other. Unfortunately all I have experienced growing up in a broken, disfunctional home and it was very was painful, then you try change that in your adulthood but you don't even have a good template to work from. You are more shattered. Thank you God for showing me that there are still very strong, loving marriages to witness. You are right, marriages, families, children, husband's, wives, men and women are under attack, and we urgently need God to intervene and help us heal. Its very comforting to see your beautiful family freely communicating. 🙏

Ok! So, John and Lisa and Addison and his wife, would have no way of knowing that they are an answer to prayer for me. I’m pressing in, to become a Foster Parent, and it’s scary, challenging, different, and a heart’s desire all rolled up into one. I cannot thank you guys enough, for obeying God, and bringing family matters to global social media. This is the Game Changer that I needed. God Bless You!

This was awesome! So thankful you started this channel. It is amazing what God can do when we refuse to give up and let Him be our guide. Both of my parents have been married multiple times , but when I decided to stick it out when it got hard, God helped us to get to 17 years and celebrating 18 in August. We have 4 children as well ages 11-16 and He is helping us to raise them for Him. I so appreciate the content so far on this channel and I am excited to hear more! Thank you all for allowing God to use you on this platform! Such an encouraging time and the prayer was so powerful Lisa! Praise God for all if you! God bless❤ ~Sarah

From being single, a couple, newly weds and now having 2 kids, the books and courses of this ministry have been one of the tools that God used that brought and mold me and my husband to be the person who we are right now. And this new podcast/channel is an answered prayer for us! As new parents and as our toddlers are now growing, we can really say that, "WE REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING!" And we need help! Perfect timing and perfect channel/podcast to learn what and what not to do as we build a home that radiates God's Love not only but especially to our kids and also to those who enter it. I am excited for the topics to be discussed!! :) I can't thank God enough for your obedience to His call! God bless this ministry!

God is so good! While awake at 2 am crying I glanced aty phone for the time,. and saw this new podcast. Lisa your prayer at the end once again, has hit home at a very precious time in my life, when I do indeed want so much to give up, God brought your family back into my life. I was one of the people who have thrown a question your way from the earlier in the year podcast. Knew in my heart this would grow from it. Thank you. Missy

I know you just touched on this for future topics, but I want to share my appreciation for being aware of the “other” kind of family…adopted, blended, or otherwise. I have listened to so many Christian family commentary and so often, as in my situation, blended families are covered by an umbrella of shame that the family couldn’t remain intact. Sometimes it just isn’t as simple as “not trying hard enough”. In fact, sometimes the blended family is more of God’s image than the original marriage was. I look forward to hearing all of your perspectives on this and much more, thank you for all you do ❤

I found I think Lisa and somehow it went onto her talk with her four boys, and then I ended up here. I’m so delighted to hear what you all have to say. You are all such an inspiration, and as a wife and mother of 2 girls (4 and 9) as the only declared saved in my entire family, guys I really need this channel. Julie, I just wanted to share that I believe god showed me an image for you, of a fish swimming very intensely, it’s fin going at such an alarming rate of side to side. The fish was swimming against the current, the fish was swimming against the direction that the river wanted to take it. Just keep swimming Julie. Against everything that tries to push against you, the pressure that places such force on you. Just keep swimming, there is a higher place of water, and when you get to the end of the force you’re gonna jump into the next pond. God bless your entire family 🙌

Hearing Brother John tell us of his conversation with the Holy Spirit: "... you will NOT quit..." and then reinforcing it later when sharing the story when a marriage counselor was added to the Messenger team, is timely for me. I do not believe I'm a "quitter". However, I'm in a situation that I've considered it is time to "quit" and move on... the justifying process has been my red flag but I find myself coming back to "the easy route to quit". Thank you all for your transparency. /Craig, Dayton, TN

I just found your channel todsy and I've been binge watching all day. Praise God summer classes were over last week. I am a mom of 3 little girls, ages 11, 9 and 6. Parenting has been so hard since they turned ages 9,7,4. I feel as tho am not equipped. I grew up in Ghana west-africa where child raising was different. Kids dont talk back, you obeyed, didn't ask questions etc. My kids are born here in America. We are Christians and try to raise them as such but its so hard. Ive been praying for their future spouses ,started last month. I lan to pray for my children n their future every week. Am grateful to hear your boys turned out so well n to learn some of the ways you raised them. I pray there'll be godly spouses for my daughts as i raise godly daughters in Jesus name Amen ❤

That's what is so missing in the World today: healthy, godly family (not pretending they are perfect) sharing their experience, advices, knowledge, being humble in the same time.❤ So question: 2nd child is coming. How to prepare ourselves and 1st child for this (1st child will be then 2 yo, so understandalready but not enoughto have big conversation)? How is the beginning of new child being at home? What to remember about and what to avoid (as well in the content of 1st child, but not only)? How it's different from the first child being born? What was your story? And anything else around this topic, what you personally think it's important to share. Thank you in advance! ❤

JB : i love it that you consider Julie your daughter: i was in one of my male leader's office once and i was surprised to see so many family pictures on his desk and shelves- not usual in a man's office to have that many. Being me i was looking at all of them and recognized one of his sons in a 2 young men photo and looking at 2 young women on another. As i am looking , he points at the picture with both young women and says: " my daughters"~ i was a little puzzled since i knew that one of these young women was his son's wife..... then it clicked : both his sons wives were his daughters !!!!! thank you for this reminder, especially since he is gone with the Lord by now. And as i started typing, a saying from back home- i am from Israel- came to me : when a family has only/many/mainly sons we say : "banim siman le banot"= sons are a sign of ( coming) daughters 🙂 and vice versa too !!! 🙂

Hello Beveres. If this has been covered in depth (because I know John has hinted toward it), please point me to the right episode. How do you do ministry (especially if it involves travel or danger) while also meeting the needs of your family and not meeting rhythm feel threatened or abandoned? I have heard about ministers who were following the call on their lives, but then their spouse, kids get bitter towards the church or Jesus.
@ammiministries35362 жыл бұрын
You are right! Not everyone are the Beveres 😂 Thank you for sharing what you have learned. I am the first generation of Christians in my family and even so I converted later in life when a lot of mistakes had already been made. I feel like I am building the pave I am stepping on minute by minute. I know this is the foundation for my kids and grandkids to walk in but boy I am tired! As you said ‘I am in it to win it, BUT I am in it. Some days feels like a privilege in other it feels like a huge burden. You asked for feedback on things to include so here it goes! Addiction to drugs and parenthood. It’s too late to prevent in some cases but how to redeem parenthood? I know the answer, Jesus! But parents need practical tools to help regardless. If you have an autistic child, is fate. If you have an addicted child is bad parenting. I recognize so many things I could have done different but unfortunately I can’t go back. This subject often comes with crushing judgment against parents and we just need a break (or a breakthrough - whatever comes first!).
