Girl you done taught me something @10:53 in school I was taught multiplication comes before decision. We use “please excuse my dear aunt sally” I never knew it was based off which ever was on the left side. School had me thinking M came first regardless rather it was on the left or right lol

I do want to note that at 39:40, your proportion example of 12 dogs per 25 cats in a shelter does not match the problem and solution you propose when asking the total number of dogs in a shelter with 100 total animals because one would first have to convert the first proportion into 12 dogs per 37 total animals to create a cross multiply with xdogs per 100 total animals. HI I am bit confuse on the proportions questions. When we solve for x or y, it ends up making the other side same number. Ex: x+2>12 , so after solving we get x>10. if we plug in the 10 for x on the original proportion, the both sides becomes same. 12>12. so shouldn't we change the proportion to =?
