Honestly education is very important as it makes big difference. Just look at this man as a northerner, the way he thinks, talks and presents issues coupled with his honesty....if only majority of them from that region embraced education this way, Nigeria won't be in this mess today. It's crystal clear that Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar has nothing to offer Nigerians. Anybody supporting them is either doing so for what he or she will get from them personally or an ethnic bigot .. simple

First time hearing this man talk. Usually, I hear media reports of what he says. Judging from this interview, he's quite a highly knowledgeable individual. And what I take from his views, is that a Return to Regional Govt, is desirable, and a possible solution to Nigeria's failures as a State. I agree with him on that! Then there's the issue of old recycled political presidential candidates. Younger, tested and proven technocrats are needed to redirect the ship of the nation, to progress. In a digital world, we don't need analog operators. That's what he stated, literally. And I also agree with him on this!

A very good analysis sir ! This system of govt does not align with our structure & beliefs as it is. The mechanic analogy is very apt!! We need a fixer, a lasting solutions person. My mechanic doesn't talk much, he checks the vehicle, identifies the problem, explains the problem, I give him the go ahead by mobilising him & creating an enabling environment for him to do his work, he gets to work, fixes the vehicle and anything else that may come up or may be affected as a result of that repair, he hands over the vehicle in good working shape. Now, if I have a mechanic, that comes makes a lot of noise explaining what he thinks is the problem but does not zero in on the root cause, I would drop him/ her like a hot potato and move on to the next one who comes highly recommended because he/ she has shown positive longlasting results! Who wants to be running around in circles with these old tricks? You just keep going back to the workshop ?? Let's get a fixer once and for all!! That's why this man is a professor, they open up our minds...kudos to all our well meaning teachers 👏🏿

@@ifiaba Exactly. I really hope for a redemption for this country. But from where I stand, it appears what has been decided upon is desolations. A major Northern ethnic group would much rather have a graver form of our sociopolitical status quo with them perpetually in charge under a completely ignorant, flawed, unfruitful and dead old religious law system. And they are resolute. Recent blasphemy killings are akin to demands/protests in that direction. So without a consensus on the matter of national structure, what would change? The future is a tragedy that we saw coming. It's a pity..but Nigeria is a known disaster that cannot be avoided. We need more than a miracle to change that predictably fatal national destiny. This is just my view.

Well ,am glad that Nigeria had educated and great minds,I hope they choose them this time ,instead of business as usual, whoever that will rule Nigeria, had to look away from ethnic/religious politics in that country, and work hard to reform the political system that include every group of Nigeria, not just the North, and the west that is behaving like traitor and settle for crumbs instead of standing up like others to throw away being treated like second class citizens.

Prof your eloquent comment is capable of elongating your life. Truth prolongs life, it shall be well with you and your family sir. At least for hitting the nail on the head. Nothing do you sir. Peter Obi should be given chance to be president so that Nigerians can see and judge by themselves.

The Problem is that Nigeria Media are never tired of same questions - The answers have been on the table for so long. Yet this journalists continue to pose these questions. Stop wasting time, gazette what these elders have said for national debate and adoption Period. The timidity of Southern Press is obvious.
