मटकियों को सर पर उठाके नृत्य करना, राजस्थान की प्राचीन संस्कृति से जुड़ा हैं। जिसके लिए प्रैक्टिस भी हो जाती थी, जब महिलाएं 2-3 कोष दूर से पानी लाती थी तो एक मटका सर पर balance करके रखती थी। और दोनों हाथों में अलग अलग दो और छोटे छोटे मटके। अक्सर ऐसा नृत्य राजस्थानी महिलाएं शादी- विवाह, कोई खुशी के माहौल आदि में करती हैं। और मेरे परिवार में तो मेरे परिवार की महिलाएं शादी में संगीत प्रोग्राम के बाद ये चरी डांस करती हैं जिसमे वो सब एक गोल घेरा बनाती हैं। और अपने ऊपर चरी (मटका जिसमे मीठा तेल डालकर) उस पर चारों तरफ बत्ती लगाकर उन्हें जलाकर डांस करती हैं।😊😊
