It took Tre a while to realize that he doesn't have to dominate every possession. Meaning that he doesn't have to do most of the ball handling. He's bought in on defense and lessened his whining to the refs which often took him out of the play and disadvantaged his team. Finally. He'd been floundering since they made the ECF but now he's one of the team. And Deandre Hunter has been exceptional. Athletic and rangy but more importantly skillful and tough. Him coming off the bench gives him freedom to lead the second unit and put pressure on the other team without (much of) a drop off in scoring potency. Even though He still gets no calls (it's kind of funny how much refs seem to dismiss him).

CAP..It took the gm to get the great barrier thief and for us to finally be healthy.

@Affirmativo Adding Dyson is a huge piece. Makes up a great deal for Trae's defensive deficiency.

If you really follow the hawks and know the game then this isn’t a surprise. They’ve re-made the length that took 5’11 Trae to the eastern conference finals except with more talent. Plus they got lucky to get that number 1 pick. I had Zacc over Sar bc he’s just way more talented lol. What would’ve been a surprise is if they weren’t good honestly. And only thing JJ has in common with Ben is they tall and black lol. JJ is more like an athletic Boris Diaw. The hawks have a great roster with humble players. Bogi and Dre would rather come off the bench bc they don’t have to share the ball as much with the starters. My favorite saying for this team is a healthy hawks team is a scary scary team 😱

Fully agreed..ntm Trae been injured all season and is averaging his lowest fg% of his career once the dude finds his rhythm then things become real scary because we all know that he can drop 30s with ease 🥶

Are the Hawks the Pacers from last year? Or were the last year Pacers the Hawks from 2020-21?

As an ATL sports fan, my question is why are they still in the middle of the pack? Just like every other year .500

If you gonna call out the wins lets do it right. Wins against NY in Atl with mutiple injuries Celtics in Boston Cup Tournament without Trae. Clev in Clev and then In Atl in a back to back home and away. Bucks in Milwaukee while The Bucks were in the middle of a 9 or 10 game winning streak. Nicks in NY during Cup Tournament. Everyone likes the bring up the Hawks early season struggles. But they never tell you. They were without Bogi, Hunter, Vit, Bufkin, Okungwu, and a few games without Trae and Daniels. And had to start their 2Way contract GLeage players in all of those games missed. For about 1 month and a half they didnr have a backup PG or SG at all. Everyone was hurt. But they fought through it. And now that they are healthy you see what they are doing to teams.

The Hawks plagued by injuries the past few years. Hunter looks more explosive. Then you got JJ playing like an all star. Daniel's sets the tone defensively. Bogdan can go off at anything. Trae no longer needs to shoot as much as he did. Trae is the best passer in the league. He obviously is not the best shooter
