I live in California paying $1,569.37. Looking to move to Atlanta hopefully next year.

Is that your property tax payment?!? Or mortgage/rent payment?

Thats only for six months. Property tax is roughly $3330 for the year. I bought my current home in 2012 with a APR 3.25% then refinanced in 2020 down to a 15 year loan at 2.25%. I have not pulled out any money.

Fulton county has so many property tax exemptions/freezes for the elderly, it's best to put yourself and someone over 65 on the deed to your home
