Whoa! You completely misinterpreted who Darius is and what he's about. He's more aware of the world than most other people are. He's sees, understands, and processes things differently than other people. The point is, he's so calm about things, that he doesn't care to react if it doesn't affect him directly. The Universe has plans in motion constantly, and he's the only person that knows where he fits within it. Throughout all the seasons of the show, he always seems to be in, and acknowledges being in moments of vast importance, and just goes with the flow to see where things take him. That's not being oblivious....it's quite the opposite
