They both survived without any damage.According to the official website, only the blower rooms got some minor flooding that was only a few inches deep and didnt reach the blowers,so,thank god they remained untouched!

Best pipe organ tour on youtube. Kimball pipe organs are the best quality as seen here.

The Trumpet that is spoken of and shown is a Trumpet militare 8' and was made by Gottfried, who was one of the greatest reed pipe makers of the 20th century). Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. You can hear this trumpet in another organ( built by Willis who heard this trumpet and asked for one like it for the instrument he was building) on recordings of St. Paul's Cathedral in London, England, UK. IT is located up in the dome. Its sounds can be heard on a video by Priory of Simon Johnson or perhaps on KZbin :www.google.com/search?q=St.+Paul%27s+Cathedral+organist,+london+england+---+recordings+and+videos. Also on this video or cd---is the sounds of the Royal Trumpets 8 and 4, a Bombard 32 (you need bass speakers that can deliver this sound--very powerful ("concrete mixer").. and the Tubas that was added the the Mander Organ firm in their restoration of this Organ that has a long history of different builders and restorers dating back to the 16th century,.

Interesting, the theater organs shake due to the varying wind pressure from the tremulents and necessitates more frequent tuning.

That is the smaller of the two organs at AC (Convention) Boardwalk Hall...though, "smaller" is relative, as this one is still bigger than many other organs. This one is fully restored, I believe, and the Midmer-Losh restoration is in progress, thank goodness.

Wonder if the Kimball and the Midmer-Losh survived Sandy

Is the Atlantic City Convention Hall on the World Heritage list? I know it is protected at the State and Federal level, but it would be a great idea to give some kind of international recognition. I can't wait to hear both instruments restored!

I'm sure it'll be easy to get it on there once the Midmer-Losh's restoration is complete.

This organ needs to be moved to a new location in a new auditorium. The reason is that is at the beach and the ocean in the near future will drown it. That has been one of the reasons for many of the problems already is that the basement was not made waterproof. It needs to be placed in constant low (best) or medium humid condition and tuned to A=440.

Ma culture française et mon passé de facture d'orgues m’amène à penser que tout ceci est bien compliqué pour un résultat sonore...??? L'harmoniste pense timbre, je n'ai rien entendu de tel ! Veuillez m'excuser . D.BABEL
