I would cite 'intangibles' in the way this casino has changed since new management took over a few years ago. It was _the_ place to be in the Summer of 2003 and for over a decade afterward. Then, for me at least, even though it looked to be The Borgata I'd come to know it was different. I do appreciate that some (a handful) of the original slot machines in their _original_ locations (quite a feat in and of itself) remain to remind me of that time my fiancée and I first entered The Borgata in early-August 2003. We spoke of that experience for a long time.

I was at Borgata ages ago and thought it had a more "Vegas" feel than other casinos in AC. I don't know how it is now, but I remember Borgata had way less slots and more tables then the boardwalk casinos. More in line with what I remembered seeing in Vegas. Being NY still has a travel restriction on Nevada, I may just do a couple nights at Borgata if I have to cancel my November Vegas trip.

Man I have not been to Atlantic City since I was a kid. I'm gonna add it to my bucket list once this COVID stuff clears up. Glad to hear that the Borgata is compatible to the Wynn. Please let us know what you decide. I'd recommend The Borgata but it's been six years since my sweetheart and I stayed there and in the interim there has been a change of management at that location. I hope that you'll have an enjoyable time.

That’s a good question. I may try and make a video about this in the future! But to put it simply Atlantic City feels like a jersey shore town with some casinos 🎰 whereas Vegas is a totally different beast.

We had an amazing time that made a big impression on us that very first night. We extended our mini-vacation by two days and we left on the Thursday of the big East Coast Power Failure on August 14, 2003.

In the future, when you leave the Borgata parking garage ask them for a receipt and give /show that to the other casinos, that way you will park for free and you will save the $10.

Sure thing. Reason is that the city owns the parking and not the casinos. So you pay one time for the day, you are good anywhere else.

It's the top resort by a mile in AC. You can stay there the whole time and a host of dining and eatery options. Every other casino hotel is of lesser quality and for every good thing there is some bad thing. Also it's too far for the riff raff and homeless to loiter at unlike some of teh Boardwalk properties.

Best casino on the east coast is hands down the hard rock in Tampa. It's actually one of the largest casinos in America. Having lived in NYC and been to AC, would 100% rank hard rock tampa over any of them.

AC away from the casinos is very dangerous. A few years ago there was a 10 percent chance anyone in AC could be a victim of crime. Let that sink in.. facts.. just stay by the casinos and don’t associate with strangers you don’t know. Enjoy your trip.
