Given it being an aquatic map, What if instead of wyverns there were elemental leviathans on the map. And there was a leviathan trench/scar similar to the wyverns where you steal their eggs

Im disappointed thete isn't a giant green Eurypterid boss (yet) to reference the extremely underrated Atlantis movie from Disney. Other than that this looks like a very interesting take on a map and one where a mod like The Sunken world additions could really shine.

Great Spotlight Bey, I do agree with your feedback, would be nice to add some larger bubbles with biomes inside. That would be so cool! Map is looking great, I'd like to see some artifact caves like the original island map, i know everyone moans about the island because it has been played to death but when it comes to caves there is no better map. Amazing cave designs, and I would like to see a mix of underwater and land explorations within like you mentioned! Would make the map perfect in my opinion!

Great map but you are right, having so much water in one map with the lack of aquatic wildlife does make me question it. It does need that extra land exploration within it somewhere otherwise it will get boring real quick, just sad but true tbh

It needs more though, I appreciate the hard work gone into it but I really think it needs to have a surface to offer more exploration value, I get that it is a fully underwater map but just give us a surface with a couple of islands maybe? Maybe even add a couple of starter spawns up there? I dunno, having 1 spawn point is crazy considering the difficulty of the map. Great video Bey! As always.

@@CMS-ir8lb There will only be 4 official servers for it, i'm not too sure how the modded official servers work but I believe you can only transfer your character between the 2 PVP servers for example, maybe other modded servers too but i'm unsure. All modded official servers are separate from the main official roster of maps so any characters from those cannot be used!

OHHH YEAHH this looks really cool! I always hoped for a complete ocean map in Ark. The oceans on official maps are just boring and nothing to do basicly. ocean biome on gen1 was close to this feeling of a complete ocean map but still pretty dull tbh...

Three things. One, this map needs a small tame or some easy to get gear new spawns can get that helps them breath before needing scuba. Like a tamable jellyfish that you put on your head as an air bubble. A shoulder pet that functions like diplocaulus. Two, there should not be flyers. The swimming tames should be seen as the flyers. Three, ability to make structures that fill with air so you are not limited to air bubbles when picking base locations. Like Minecraft sponge. Yes, there are underwater tek stuff, but new spawns in the map would be REALLY limited.

What's better than to open a lot crate at level 1 and find a journeyman scuba tank lol? Thing is with the ability of having structures fill with air is that it is not an intended mechanic of the game, the DEVS haven't created anything like that until maybe the Shastasaurus which i'm pretty sure they had to change the design of the saddle because it wouldn't work, it would be so much work to implement something like that when it isn't intended, don't even think it could even be done even by a talented modded. Also I like that there's some flyers in the bubbles, probably can't use them all that much anyway so I don't see why that matters tbh

I respectfully disagree with all those points lol. Interesting ideas but I think the idea is that the map is a challenge and unlike anything we’ve seen before. You have a bubble of protection to utilise in that giant bubble, should be quite easy to get a scuba tank from the drops and tame anything swimming outside of the bubble then onto ocean exploration we go. 😊

Also, the issue with the Shasta sub wasn't that such a thing isn't "intended" but because of the specific interaction between this mobile air field (a first for the game) interacting with the water's surface, which would visually glitch and appear inside the submarine. So it was redesigned specifically because of a visual glitch.

Anyways, and this is directed towards the OP, you should check out the Sunken World mod. It adds a shoulder pet Anomalocaris (which is also completely compatible with Garuga's if you have that, so the two won't override one another) that latches onto you back and starts sucking your blood, draining your food down faster but in exchange providing you infinite oxygen it siphons directly into your bloodstream. In the future, there'll also be a coral structure set which is a stone/adobe tier take on the tek underwater compartments. The artwork for 'em is really cool, super Subnautica-coded. It's definitely a really good mod to look into, as it really fleshes out underwater gameplay and in the future will even have its own map to go alongside it. They've even got an underwater take on wyverns in store for the future.

Tbh I think that being as most people feel the need to use commands speaks for itself haha, didn't need to do any of that in ASE. But yeah the Fog command does clear the water but it is still not properly clear, it's still blurry and visually ugly to look at if you ask me, you can see all the ripples at the surface and it's painful to look at...this is just my honest opinion after playing both game an extensive amount, never had a bad thing to say about the water in Survival Evolved. I just use a scuba mask in ASA to help where my eyes don't hurt to look at it XD

Maybe adding a doomed surface similar to the concept in aberration or a wasteland similar to extinction would be a cool addition. Even though it’s an underwater map, we still need to explore the surface, especially if it’s an end-game option/goal. I was actually thinking of mentioning something along the lines of, where the surface would be accessible to some extent, it is a little odd having the world barrier up there, even if i Could just peak my Basilosaurus above the water and see nothing but ocean and sunlight would be kinda nice too. wow such a beautiful Map. I remember there being something similar in progress early on for ASE but it never got anywhere/abandoned at some point and then way way later Sunken World came around. For a Map like this it's too sad we only have so few water creatures, if we compare to land dwellers. Definitely a Map I would spice up with creature mods to fill the water with some Variety. Always found the concept of an underwater ARK fascinating, even though I hate ARKs oceans or more so the creature behavior... constantly swimming around you making fights very annoying since you can't swim backwards so you have to swim around in circles aswell. WC never really touched that topic, although they tryed with Gen1 waterbiom, but never added anything new to inhabit that place besides glowy variants.

The issue with ark oceans has always been: 1. Everything attacks everything 2. Variety I like the idea of the map but didn’t see any new creatures but the mini bosses & vanilla ark sea creatures are constantly locked in a battle for death

I’m not a fan of under water exploration in Ark and I was wondering how it was going to work with the entire map being underwater and the presence of bubbles and air pockets in caves. I’m definitely interested in it now. By the way, is it possible to transfer tames from a modded map, say, a Temptress Lagoon mini dragon to, say, The Island in single player mode? I’m a newer player so I’m still learning.

Shipbuilding is my favorite part of the game, is the whole map connected by a surface ocean? It’s hard to tell and it looks really underground, but if there’s a sea that connects everything then I’m interested

Sadly not, I think it is very unfortunate, that was one of the points I wanted to bring up in the video but forgot to do so, I think it really needs a surface, doesn't even need much up there, maybe a few islands with some beaches and trees, will add so much extra to the map.

You will have to make a new character, mod maps with official servers have their own separate cluster so completely different to the main official roster of maps.

It runs very well, Only crashed once while flying around in GCM recording these clips over the period of a few days. I crash way more on any other map.

My advice? Don't put unfinished maps out as Premium Maps until they are 100% complete. I understand that your time is money, but that's also exactly why; you have to have a *DAMN* good product to convince me to invest $10 in it while it's not in a finished state. How do you do that? Release a free version - a "trial" if you will. Let us explore what your 70% completed map looks like, and let us decide for ourselves if the $10 version will be worth it without making us waste our money on a product we *won't* enjoy. I am saying this at the 0:30 second marker, because I've seen maps where people are disappointed they invested $10 into a Premium Map they didn't enjoy.

But that just means it's those peoples fault. If you don't inform yourself about the map, it's not the Modders fault. It's yours. You can simply wait until it's 100% complete. If you don't like unfinished maps, then simply don't buy it. And you said they didn't enjoy the map. That didn't sound like it was an issue about the completion rate but rather an overall problem. So not something that would have been fixed if the map were complete.

I think it's fine, 70% or above is fine for me. It is a choice at the end of the day. We can wait or play it now. Don't understand what the issue is tbh. This video convinced me that I will buy it but I will also give it a little more time and wait until the artifact caves and bosses get added in before doing so.

@ft7066 I agree that a good portion of the map should be playable and that they don't sell a mod that is nowhere near complete. Maybe the way Nekatus is doing it is something to consider. He puts out a light version of his maps with less features and content but for free. And if you enjoy it you can buy the full version.

There aren’t enough angry Karens like you to justify moving away from the norm. They have no need to change what is already working fine. Besides even if you don’t end up happy w the map it’s only 10$ I’m sure you’ll live.

​@@tonykeally1039 I'm not an angry Karen though? All I did was give my two cents? Am I not entitled to a personal opinion? Look, I love ARK. I have 5.7k hours invested into ASE. Most of it was spent doing very little besides taming cool looking dinos, base maintenance, and just enjoying the game as a casual player. Furthermore, I am glad that there's a LOT of good Premium content out there. Hell, there's some really good. completely finished (for the meantime) Premium maps that, as soon as I get a PC, I'd love to try. Also, I'm glad that there's folks who think a $10 investment into an unfinished product is fine. I'm not one of them, and I was just giving my opinion and creative, constructive criticism on how to win people who, like me, would like to try a map to decide if it's right for them without spending $10. And as someone who lives in poverty, $10 *is* a lot. That is the cost of a whole ass meal or a cheap pack of ground beef.

No mod is worth 10 dollars, i get wildcard is apparently broke, but still modding is the community resolving and adding their own ideas. game devs should not be benefitting from non-other then their own work and creations.

Tbh Wildcard gives the modders the platform to do it, both the modders and Wildcard benefit from it. Mod maps are 100% worth the money. While Wildcard are busy remastering their maps we get additional content from modders, don't really understand why a small few cry about it, it is still a choice at the end of the day. Buy it or don't.
