We are thinking of going here for our family holiday and have wanted to stay at this hotel forever. But recent reviews have put me off staying here. Many suggesting it is quite run down and in need of a revamp! Is this true? We keep going back between this resort or Hyaty baha mar

It’s sad because it’s an architecturally beautiful place, but yes it is looking a little tired. I would suggest checking out The Cove at Atlantis. It’s a separate section on the Atlantis property and is more upscale- and you still have access to the rest of the pools and watermark on property. The Baha Mar is definitely newer, but we’ve never stayed there so we can’t comment. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes, august will be great but quite hot! Yes, it is definitely safe to bring your baby! And yes, we’ve wondered outside of the resort many times and also into downtown Nassau with no issues 👍🏻 it’s easy to get around via taxi and easy to communicate since it is an English-speaking country 👌🏻 have fun!

I’ve been going to this hotel since I was in diapers. This place is so nostalgic and is honestly my favorite hotel in the world. I’ve been to many many beach and tropical resorts and this is my most memorable!

I have been to this place 6 or 7 times and it never gets old. The slides are amazing, the hotels are luxurious, and the food is amazing. I have been to every main hotel besides the cove which I might go this year. This place is my favorite and most beautiful place I’ve ever been. It’s real heaven

I have been going to Paradise Island every year since 89.We watched The Atlantis get built . We bought 4 timeshares at Harborside on the marina. We spent 7 weeks there last yesr because we had all our weeks from 2020 and gave ne of our sons a week or we would have been there for 2 months last year.A great take is swimming in the aquarium. It does cost but i've got to know a few employees over the yaer and I get to swim for nothing. Its a great resort

Atlantis resort will always mean the world to me. I have medical conditions that resulted in kidney transplant and multiple rounds of dialysis to treat stage 3 renal kidney failure. I am better now after 14 years post transplant. But I was blessed to be sponsored by the make a wish foundation through an anonymous donor when I was a kid (this was in 2008, I was 11 years old). I wanted to take my family on a vacation. I remember seeing a commercial for this place and I was hooked on the Mayan slide. Off we went, the best week of my life. It's a core memory for me and I will return to this place one day. Once I'm in a better financial position.... thanks for posting this man. It really allowed me to "time travel" to my childhood and revisit this place :)

Hello! Been all over Caribbean and while the Bahamas is not my favorite islands it is the easiest to get to for me so I go often. Atlantis is a wonderful hotel that deserves a day to hang out Just to walk around and see the aquariums and beach/lagoon set ups BUT everyone and their mother is here so it gets super crowded everywhere so be prepared. Also, they charge you extra for EVERYTHING so be prepared to spend additional money. Other thing is if u r trying to get to beach be prepared to walk….and walk…and walk some more. If you enjoy this type of atmosphere then go for it but my advice is to stay at the Sandals Royal Bahemian or Baha Mar which are both much smaller and more intimate and u can get a room steps from the beach. Both of those hotels will transport u to Atlantis where u can buy a day pass or eat at some of the nicer restaurants (no pass needed for restaurants shopping or casino bar areas). Treat Atlantis like a day excursion not a place to stay.

Thank you for watching! The main thing we noticed was obviously masks indoors and some outdoor dining locations, but other than that everything was great! A lot has changed and will continue to change regarding testing, so just check with reception when you check in - but there are a few testing locations and they were very quick and straightforward 👍🏻

Yes , grounds pass , last I heard it was 50. Stay at Breeze's, get bus or local cab. Stand in front of hotel, hold hand up , always Cash. Ask for Alantis , and grounds passes. Also take a buggy ride while you're there , you can hire one at the Cruise ship dock , just left of town about a block from McDonald's. Ask for Dennison. Have fun stay safe and don't go down alleys with strangers.

I don't really like this hotel from the outside, it's bulky and looks like some kind of 1980s office buildings... I'd like something like a bionic architectural style with greenery in the place of this hotel on the main island of the Bahamas. Like there are buildings for example in Singapore... I think that in terms of architecture and recreation, the islands have a lot of room to grow!

Worse experience ever. Service was horrible, food was below average. The hotel is amazing, water park is great but over all experience sucked. Even went into town and just got hustled by the locals. Twin brothers restaurant is horrible do not go… Paid $15 for a virgin piña colada come to find out it was $5 on the sign outside. Will not be going back to “paradise island.”
